Need Help I.D. THIS RDA please

A friend of mine gave me this rda. It already had a single coil build that reads .6
I'm using it with a m16 clone and a AW IMR 18490 BATTERY
is this build safe to use ? also I need a I.D. on what brand rda this is? ?

Smoktech Octopus is what it looks like.

That's the first thing I thought too. I have one that's silver and it looks almost identical to yours. I actually like it better than my IGO W and use it every day.

There's been a bit of back and forth about the exact amp limit of AW IMR 18490s. Some people said it was 8A. P Busardo lists it as 16.5A, and this has been stated by others. Using a 0.6 ohm coil on a freshly charged battery at 4.2 volts requires 7 amps. At 3.7 volts it drops to 6.166 amps. So the ohms are within the battery capability.

As for whether the coil itself is safe - do you have a multimeter to test if it is stable? If it keeps jumping from one value to another it isn't.

i noticed THAT the one i have does NOT have a whole drilled ON the side like the ones on the smoketech website

Pretty sure the hole on the side is just a vent to decrease the resistance in the draw.

Are you just wanting to know what it is? In terms of safety, as in my post above, you are within your battery capabilities. You'd need to meter the coil to see if its stable. Don't know if you know this or not.
