Still new to this but have accumulated a fair amount of stuff...batteries, chargers etc. All 808 compatible...but the thing is I'm tried of all these different parts from different vendors. And now batteries, carts are failing, a brand new charger has failed...I feel like it's becoming way more work than it should.

So I did a fair amount or reading here and decided that the Elite 808 was perfect. Right size, a battery indicator, good battery life..I can use clear tanks//etc. So I go to order and they are out of stock...

The problem is that I'm running out of usable equipment and need to jump to a new system asap.

So, the questions is what is the closest thing to an Elite 808? The Elite got such good reviews that I'm really disappointed that they are not available and just want to get something on order...

Thoughts?

I don't think there is an equivalent in the same shape - is that the 350 or 380mah one that is fatter than a normal KR808D-1 (9.2-9.4mm) but not as fat as an Ego etc (14mm)?

I think you either have to go KR808D-1 (I use V4L.com for their 10+ second cutoff. I use manuals. They do have 350mah ones called XL but they are longer rather than fatter). Ir if you don't mind a short 5 second cutoff, the xl SmokelessImage/Bloogplanet batteries are 420mah I think.

Or you can go fat 14cm and in that threading and 3.7v - not sure - maybe Echo? (not Echo-E that is 510 threaded). Or there is a Kanger Vgo w/ KR808D-1 threads (also a 510 threaded one) - this would use its own faster charger.

Or for something completely different maybe a 901/808 box mod from Madvapes

It's a little bit fatter....but that's not a huge deal. I'd like to keep it more or less the same size as a normal 808 battery, but a little bigger or longer is fine. I'd like to be able to use clear tanks and dual coil/horizontal carts, but I think that's more a function of which cart you buy and not the base system.

Solid battery life and good reviews. I'm afraid of being stuck back where I'm at now...failing equipment and loads of frustration...

You also have the option of purchasing and adapter to allow you to use 510 threaded items on an 808 battery which gives you a few more options. Vaping can get frustrating at times and it can be easy to get in the mindset of "I just want to pull one out, light it and have it work" but eventually what fiddling does need to be done with vaping starts to become second nature.

Stick with it and we'll help.

Be glad the Elite 808 is out of stock. I hated my kit. Unregulated vaping is just not for me. The LED charge indicator lights were great and all, if they had ever worked right. The lights were either badly placed in the casing and weren't lined up with the holes, or the LED was burned out. You don't even need the lights to tell how much charge is left. The first hits were always burnt tasting, and the last hits had no flavor or vapor. I also had ghost fires on both of my batts. High price and low quality....you can do better. ;)

Get a Riva 901 kit from LF - Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 901 KR808D-1 comaptible, regulated at 3.7V, and 650mah battery. Consistent and long-lasting vaping, and only $33 shipped. :)

They only show the pink kits as available, but if you call them up, they can put together a kit with the spare parts they have in stock, so all colors are available. It took me all of 5 minutes to get my Titanium kit put together.

Don't forget the coupon code "october20"

Well, I can't read any more reviews lol....maybe the Easy Starter Kit- KR808D from Cig Easy. I feel like I want to take a step up but I can't see anything that makes sense to me. And I don't feel like buying more chargers from Cig Easy, I've already got one bad one that failed too soon (if it ever worked at all, the LED never turns green)...I feel like I've had rotten luck with equipment.

Anyway....enough of that. Once more into the breach! I'll get it one of these days..

I def wouldnt get an elite. Its very overpriced and is nothing more than a glorified slim ecig. While the batteries are bigger than most slim ecigs, their still generally small and will still need to be recharged frequently. And since the elite is still a slim ecig, your still stuck only using standard resistance attys/cartos. For that price you can def get something a LOT better.

Are you definetely set on getting something with 808 threading?

My recommendation would be to get something like a kGo, E-Power, or Riva. They are all very affordable and give a great vape. They are 510 threading, but you could always just get a cheap adapter so you can use up all the 808 cartos you have now. Then once your done with them, youll be able to use the wide array of attys and cartos that are available for 510 PVs. Also with any of them youll be able to use low resistance and standard resistance attys/cartos, instead of being stuck just using SR like you would be with the elite.
I like the E-Power and kGo the most. I have an E-Power and love it bc it uses non-proprietary batteries, which are a lot cheaper. E-Power batteries are 1050mah so they last a long time and I get on avg a day to a day and a half on one battery. The kGo is also very nice too and gives a great vape. The batteries are 1100mah and most people get at least a full day with one battery.
You can get a kGo or E-Power kit for under $45 and their both a LOT better than the elite. They cost about half as much as the elite, and youll have 3-4x longer battery life and alot more options since you could use standard resistance and low resistance attys and cartos. And you could always buy an adapter for a few bucks so you wouldnt be wasting all the 808 cartos you currently have now.

Well, if anyone is wondering...I ended up with an Elite from Cig-Easy. I ordered it before the late rush of Riva opinions came through. I almost ordered both.

But I have to say that for a new user it's pretty great. Lot's of everything :) The folks at Cig-Easy were great helping put together a kit out of parts, can't say enough. Great vendor whatever you prefer I think.

They threw in a couple things....including a pepper flavored cart. Yikes...who would have thought. Not something I'd reorder but it sure tasted like pepper.

Thanks for all the input...

My wife and I are relatively new vapers (100 days), but I'd like to throw my opinion in here also. I use a combination of 808 (sticks), Go-Go (primarily) and Elites. I like them all but (obviously) the Go-Go is my personal favorite.

On the other hand, my wife loves the Elite and uses it exclusively. One thing we've found is that, for my particular mix of juice (five parts V2 Red 18mg to 1 part CigEasy Dr Pepper 24mg), we get the best flavor from the Elite. It's quite extraordinary, to be honest.

We also find, for reasons I simply cannot figure out, that the Elite battery lasts longer than my 380mah (same as Elite) sticks (V2, V4L, MVS, Vaporsmiths). It could be because they run at slightly lower voltage, but I don't believe that's the case (I think they're all the same 4.2 down to 3.4).

Therefore, it's somewhat of a conundrum. Regardless; my experiences with the Elite are mainly positive - for whatever that may be worth).
