I got about 10 days out of mine letting it have a vodka bath now. There is far too many variables to predict how long they will last. How do you break in your coil? How many watts do you run it at? What juice and what percentage are you using? What is the pg vg ratio? What is the nicotine level? How fast and how hard do you draw on you tank? Do you prime it after a few draws. etc... For me I am not smoking so I am WINNING :vapor:

1. Someone in the Clearomizer section suggested (with the tank on) to start low and slowly bring up the power. I let it sit for 10+ minutes, start at 8.0 watts and just burn it a couple of times (without dragging on it). Do that on up until I get to 9.0 watts or 10.0 for thicker juice and then take a puff. I started doing this last night and it seemed to work well. About 20 mins between putting in a new coil and going ahead to do my thing.

2. 9.0 for fruit/menthol 10.0-10.5 for coffee/tobacco

3. Highbrowbacco Menthol on one, Highbrow Peach on the other. Both 24 nic, 70PG/30VG

4. Chainvape/Light draw. Airflow set to the one below the openest. No priming.

5. I'm winning to a much greater extent than I was 2 months ago.

That was a hypothetical question there are probably more questions as to how long the bvc will last

I had my first problem with a BVC this afternoon. I was on a shoot (photographing) and had my Vapor Shark rDNA and Nautilus in my camera bag. Took a break and went to vape. The BVC lasted about 5 seconds and burned.

Ahhh WTH happened? Took a look at the wattage - 30 watts! So do not try 30 watts with a BVC.

BTW I had a similar thing the other day at 24 watts - the BVC survived that with grace. So one of my first two coils - 13 days. The other is still doing fine.

Don't even have a Clue why any of you are even bothering to talk Days/weeks on a coil.
TIME is irrelevant.

Now, How many Ml are you getting through per Head before replacing? :)

Gotta say, that makes for a more accurate question since we all tend to vape differently. For example, I bought my Nautilus tank about 4 weeks ago and I'm still on the same original coil that came with it. All in all though I'd have to say that I've barely vaped more than 3 full tanks so about 15ml through this coil, as I do tend to switch between tanks several times a day. I am liking so many flavors now (well about 4) that I can't just stick to one all day long.

I think all but one of the liquids that I use are 50/50 so I tend to vape them between 8 and 9.5 watts. I've tried 10 and 10.5 but it produces the nasty burnt taste on all of the liquids that I like to vape.

Using my South Texas Conversion Chart

Coffee/Tobacco Juice = a Whataburger
Fruit/Menthol Juice = a double-double Whataburger with grilled onions

(Born and raised in Corpus Christi)

hehe...I know where I'm stopping on the way home.

Dang it, now I have to stop and get a Patty Melt today!

Thanks I'll hang on to these two Nautilus and try the new coil, it just wasn't producing the taste or the vapor that these new coils for the Kanger Mega and V2's is, maybe it will..sorry son in law..no hand me downs this week *lol*

My first 1.8 ohm BVC coil went through ~30mls in 2 weeks @ about 8 watts. My opinion is these new coils are keepers, I use the Nautilus at work on an MVP2. I'm about 15mls into my 2nd coil now and shes fine. (always 50/50 juice)

The Nautilus is no KFL+ or Russian, but its a nice tank for slumming at work. YMMV.

In comparison I was getting a day or two (~3 - 5 mls) with the older BDC coils.

I'm curious if the coils were burning out on you or you felt that the coil wasn't producing the same flavor and or vapor that you got when the coils were new?

I've now gone through almost 25ml on the original Nautilus BDC coil and I'm not sensing any lessened amount of flavor and in a cool room the vapor amount still seems to be the same as it was when I first put the coil into the Nautilus.

I went through a lot of coils on my Protank 2 as I wasn't even thinking that vapor production would be reduced dependent on the ambient room (or outdoor) temperatures so here were it's usually well over 100°f during the day and sometimes well over 90°f at night, vapor production is always poor so I kept changing the coil when I went home and inside the A/C house where it's only 76°f the vapor production would be big blooms of vapor then the next day I'd vape when out and about in town and notice hardly any vapor at all so first thing when I got home was to change the coil again. Totally needless as I've now found out, and am now reusing all those coils that I changed the first few days of my vaping experience as theres nothing wrong with them.

I was honestly just changing them as soon as the flavor weakened but the last one I waited until I would get the first faint burnt tastes. The last one by the way, went out 2 hours after I said '5 days and going strong' lol. I have noticed though, I get 2-3 more days off the 1.8 ohm coils vs the 1.6 ohm. I'm not sure why that is, or if that's normal, but that's just my personal experience.
