Hi, I have been vaping NETs for a while now. After a fair amount of research on the web I can not find anyone who vapes them at higher wattage like myself .

The general consensus is that higher wattage ruins the taste of nets. Is there anyone about that also vapes nets at higher wattage and is there a reason not to vape them at a higher wattage of around 50w ?

If I was to try a mtl setup on my rta what would be the highest wattage setup to aim for ?

Any help is much appreciated as I have been struggling to find much info on this.

That's not a thing I've ever thought about. I vape pretty much only nets, and just like any juice i simply adjust to taste. The main thing that makes a difference for me is the build that I happen to have at any given time. I should mention that in 8 years I've gone from tight MTL to loose MTL but still don't enjoy any form of direct lung.

At the beginning, for at least 2 or 3 years my preferred resistance was in the range of 1.1 to 1.8 and I'd use 12 to 15 watts. But then a friend talked me into his favorite build - Kanthal, 27 gauge, 2.5 diameter and anywhere from 5 to 7 wraps. So I started subohming since the coils would be usually centered around 0.8, but maybe varying a couple of tenths either way because of the wraps or leg length on a particular device.

My battery life has clearly dropped since I vape those builds at anywhere from 18 to 24 watts. For me, the increase in flavor was remarkable. I might bump it up as the coil gets terminally gunked trying to squeeze out a bit more use before rewick, but I've never been in the range you mention.

I have heard experienced people remark about different power level for things like custard/bakery vs fruits. Whenever I've noticed a difference in the same juice I'm almost certain it is due to the atomizer and not a particular power level.

So lots of text, without a direct answer to your question. I'm not going to go into why I think a more saturated, intense vape is generated from MTL than from any sort of DL. But maybe just adding my data points will have you thinking of new ways to approach your solution.

Yeah you're right. NET needs low power. Higher power just don't work for it. It ruins the subtle nuances NET brings...and the natural sugar burns quicker on the coil.
Lower power is tailor made for NET.
What works for me is 0.5-0.7ohm...14-18W. RDL.
I always aim for the maximum amount of air at the lowest power...a balancing act. Air=Flavor.

From my experience the temperature of the vapor changes every flavour and also veeeeery warm or hot vapor ruins almost all the flavours i have tried including nets....

I vape nets only on mtl setups with higher nic for when i want to immitate cigarette and drink some alcohol usually.... but i have vaped nets few times on direct lung with wattages up to 80 watts and the flavour was same as in my mtl setups because even tho it was 80 watts it was on big coils and with very open airflow that made the vapor still be cool enough to not ruin the flavour....also on the other hand u may vape a tiny coil at 13watts or whatever and airflow may be so tght that u still produce warm vapor and ruin the flavour...

Sooo for me even tho i agree that high temps ruin nets flavour that not nessesarily means high wattage cause if u vape a 30mm atty that has lots of airflow and u use big coils even 80watts may produce cool vapor or lighty warm....or like some mesh coils or rtas with mesh produce very cool vapor at wattages that are considered high

The flavour is nice at 50 watts and maybe even better than at a lower wattage.
I have been vaping the single 0.5 ohm coil this morning on my Troll x at 30 watts.
Its a nice vape but my juice is all 1.5mg nicotine for the higher wattage setups.
Flavour is more or less the same with the air flow slightly more restricted.
I think a slightly higher nicotine level at 30 watts would be spot on and not drink so much juice.
