Hi All,

Been at this a few years to say the least, and thank goodness the hardware keeps getting better.

I just had a look back at where I started and where I'm now, and it's surprising how many mods I've been through to get to this point.

Please post your list if you have one, it would be interesting to see where our starting point compares to current tech in this hobby.

It's come a long way. I too first vaped with eGo batteries and bridge atomizers. Then cartomizers. I think hardware problems are a big reason my vaping has been so on-and-off. Dry hits were a problem when I was using carto-tanks, and then I got a couple of Kanger Protank Minis and flooding and leaking we're issues. Then the equipment started getting better but it seemed like everything was going to sub-ohm direct-lung and that isn't really my style. (Better MTL equipment may have existed but I didn't know about it)

So I didn't vape for a couple of years. Then I started back into it a little over a month ago and I've never been happier. I've got two Goby mods with three of the accompanying tanks. I never see the Goby tanks really mentioned on the forum so I guess they're pretty average, but they're the best tanks I've owned. I've got a JAC DNA 75W mod coming. I think I'll be able to stick with vaping this time just because so many hardware issues have been solved.

You're going to love the JAC. I've got two, the black and the sandstorm.

Yeah, it was your recommendation in some other thread that got me interested. A little over $70 US (sale price plus 10% off for signing up for their newsletter). Money that I wouldn't have had to spend if I hadn't seen you mention it. Thanks for that. :D

I'll never forget a thrilled Phil Busardo saying of the Kanger T3 "this is the best vape of my life" that he repeated several times afterwards.
For me sub ohming for a while was a step back. I couldn't get used to so much air. After a while I did, but kept my ohms relatively high and my air relatively low. Until one day, without thinking, I got a Velocity atty. And never looked back. Although I recently got a Ctulhu Hastur and have gone back 10 squares. I even popped open a box of Nautilus heads and the Kabuki tank...

2010/ basic cig a likes
2011/ omega mechanical mod and basic 510 carts and 510 dripping attys and genesis atomizers
2012/ provari v2 and rebuildable genesis atomizers. Also getting into kayfun.
2014/ reo with reomizer
2014/ vaporshark dna 20 or 30 and various rebuildable rta's
Basically from 2014 to present, all my mods have been pretty much the same, dna 30 or slightly higher. Also my rebuildable rta's have been pretty much the same as well except newer.
I often hear how technology has improved in vape gear, but at least for me, my vape has relatively been the same since 2013. Then I was vaping about 20 watts with a rebuildable rta and today pretty much the same. Yes the rta's I vape today wick a little better, but not entirely much different.

1st set up was a wood fire stick/Nautilus, hated it and was about to quit

2nd setup was an istick 30w/Kanger STM, fell in love and never looked back

Today dual 18650 devices/single coil rtas, wattage stays in the 23-50w range.
