I am hesitant to call this a Sub Zero clone, but I am liking this as much as I did Sub Zero. I stopped vaping Sub Zero mainly because of cost. At $20 for 30ml of juice I would be spending about $60 a week for my vaping habit. I started making DIY juices almost a year ago, but I never attempted to make a menthol juice until about a month ago. I was afraid that I would come up with something that tasted horrible. I decided, what the heck, if I don't try I won't ever know. So my first attempt was 50/50 PG/VG, 3% Flavor West Extreme Ice and 5% Flavor West Vanilla Custard. I filled my tank and took a vape and wow, it was great. It had that icy chill that I like so much from Sub Zero with a nice sweet finish that the vanilla custard gives it. I can't say it is just like Sub Zero but I like it and that is what counts. Yay for me!

Congratulations,

This is what DIY is all about. Many including myself have tried to replace a vendor juice with a DIY juice only to find that what they come up with is often better then what they were trying to clone in the first place. It's a wonderful feeling when that happens and an even better feeling knowing it's your own original.

Well since you didn't name it I called it "6SteelStrings Ice & Custard"

I'm going to give it a couple of weeks before I try to vape it. Taste test on my finger says this is strong but promising! I'm also now out of FW Vanilla Custard so if I make it again I'm going to have to use CAP's Vanilla Custard V.1 or INW Custard.

Thanks for the recipe! I'll be sure to report back. :)

What percentage will you use the cap vanilla custard at?

I'm going to have to see how much of the vanilla custard comes through with that Extreme Ice but if you want to make this and sub out the FW with the Cap's then I would go 1:1.

I am honored. I have my name on an e-juice. My 15 seconds of fame!

So again.... thank you for this recipe!

I waited 2 weeks then tried it out today and, WOW I love it!

No one's more surprised than me! (seriously) I thought I would never find a use for that Extreme Ice but I've been vaping this recipe off and on all day and it's a winner. Wintergreen-y menthol on the inhale and smooth custard on the exhale. Very nice and very different for me as I usually stick to fruits and bakery/dessert vapes. This is going to be a good palate cleanser/in-between vape for me. And, I think this would be nice with a touch of tobacco, no? Since SC French Pipe is all I have here I may try a tester bottle with 0.5% added and see where it takes me.

This flavor is reminding me of some minty candy or chewing gum that I liked when I was a kid but I just can't quite put my finger on exactly what it was. o_O Every time I take a vape it practically takes me back to when I was about 7 or 8. Crazy huh? I know it'll come to me eventually but it's been driving me nuts all day.

I am so glad you like it. I ran out of this mix days before I was to go on vacation and I had just ordered some more Extreme Ice a couple of days before and it had not arrived yet. So I went back to my former ADV. At the end of the week I was so glad to get home and tear into my mail to get my order of EI so I could mix up another batch. To heck with steeping, I could not wait. I mixed up some for about a week's supply and 240ml to steep.

I love this juice.

I was working from home today and things got slow and boring so I decided to modify my recipe a little. I added 3% FW pina colada to the mix. It now has notes of coconut and pineapple to the flavor. I may have to play around with the percentages a bit because the fresh mix is almost overwhelming in flavor intensity. Perhaps it will mellow after some steeping.
