I know this stuff needs to be kept in the refridge but how long does it keep? I kinda ordered a bunch of it.
Hey now, I come home from a long week in the salt mines and someones abusing my good name (LOL).
Actually I never really was anti-e-cig (well, maybe for a bit after e-cigs failed in spectacular fashion for me). As time went on I realized it does work for some, just not all of us. And that's the part that bugged me.
I think the thread on the nicotine forum we've all been following has been a real eye opener.
In the mean time, snus is it. The only thing out there that got me off the smokes, and I was hopeless.

It will keep for quite awhile in the fridge, and people have kept it for over a year in the freezer. Swedish Match says that over time the PH will go down a bit so it will lose some potency.
If you really want to play it safe just keep what you're using in the fridge and everything else in the freezer.
Thanks Stubby for your infinite wisdom lol actually your post prob made it so I could get off the cigs. I was doing ecig and smoking analogs (but less of Them) with snus I dont even think about smoking an analog.

You would have done better to pick some leaves up out of the yard and suck on them than to buy Camel SNUS.
ANY Swedish snus will taste better than Camel. Tres Ankare is pure tobacco flavor. If you like licorice, get LD Black. Even though it is a discount version, many claim it is the BEST licorice snus.

Hey isande, my most recent order was by and large your recommendations. 'Nuther big thank you! We're in agreement about the Macchiato, REALLY wish it came in a portion other than mini.
Tried both Skruf and Offroad cranberry, not much difference 'tween the two. Light berry taste, faint tobacco, flavor fades fast but they do seem to deliver the nic.
Haven't tried the Mocca Pomegranate or the free Nick and Johnny Black yet but...

Popped one last night after dinner. I was absolutely amazed! It was sooo much like savoring small sips of Kentucky Bourbon I could hardly believe it.
So next order appears I'll be trying something from Ettan and perhaps the 01. So far I seem to be leaning towards medium tobacco flavor, portions that are around 11mg or less.
Further recommendations anyone?

Haha, awesome! It sounds like when it comes to the more flavored portions, our tastes line up nicely. Mocca Macchiato and Probe Whiskey are definitely my favorite flavored snuses. (Though the Mocca just doesn't deliver the nicotine level I'd like, but the flavor is great!)
You might want to check out the Offroad Limited Edition collection - 2 tins each of 5 flavors. It's $25 at Getsnus.com. Mango Creme, Moonshine, Chocolate-Raspberry, Sweet Clove and Mandarin Orange I believe. I haven't tried it yet but it sounds like something you might enjoy.

" Finish or Style
For some of the above there are further subdivisions to describe the finish or style:
- Purified these contain purified tobacco plus cellulose filler and are completely dry. This style releases the nicotine relatively quickly but also lasts for the least amount of time. Because they are made from purified nicotine, there is no tobacco flavour at all. Any flavours that this style of portion may have are added during manufacture (and there is one brand which is completely flavourless by design).
This type only comes in the mini size, indeed it is thinner than a mini but around the same width and length. - Portion or regular these have been lightly sprayed with tobacco liquid. The causes the nicotine to be released more quickly but has the side effect that they can be a little "drippy". Although spitting is not technically required with snus, some portion snus in this category can cause quite a bit of saliva to be produced.
This type comes in all sizes and strengths. - White these have not been sprayed with tobacco liquid and are mostly dry to the touch however they are still around 50% water (inside the pouch), similar to previous item, it is just that the teabag material has not been additionally sprayed. This type comes in both the mini and the regular size but not the maxi. White portions have a less noticeable taste to start with and take longer to "kick in" than regular portions. However, the flavour and nicotine tend to last for longer.
This type comes in all strengths except extra strong (to date)."

And again the subjective differences in taste. I'm loving the macchiato but wishing the flavor was more pronounced!
I can't offer anything with regards to toning it down but sloshing a sip of hot coffee in my mouth along with a portion really brings the flavor out!
White portion - dry, nicotine is more slowly absorbed
Regular portion - wet, nicotine is more readily absorbed
Or at least, that's how I have heard it put.
That sums it up nicely. Personally, I much prefer original/regular portions, but some brands I enjoy only come in whites. I actually "convert" them into regular portions by misting inside the can with distilled water and let it soak in overnight. Voila! Original portions

I wanted to see if I even liked snus before ordering a bunch of it. Actually I ended up kinda liking the Camel mellow and loved the Camel mint now my shipment is here I won't be doing Camel anymore. I ordered a bunch of it and am freezing it cuse it looks like Govt is going to shut down internet purchasing of tob prod here in US. I really don't know what I am going to do if the Damn govt is successful in shutting the ecig and snus as I like both these products better than analogs.

S.1147 was brought up in the Committee of the Judiciary last Thursday, appears there was no vote at that time. It's said bills often die in committee so perhaps there's hope!
If nothing else we do have time to do as you indicate, buy and freeze! What brands have you found so far that you're enjoying?
Actually it's two you need to watch out for, the one you've listed and H.R. 1676 which has already passed the house and is now in committee in the Senate.
H.R. 1676 is almost identical to S. 1147, except 1676 excludes cigars. Well the Senate Committee didn't like that so they did the 1147 and dropped the exclusion.
What will probably happen is the House won't give up their cigars and the Senate won't let it on the floor until they do. So it'll probably die in committee.
Gee I often wondered if all those years in DC would come in handy.
If that holds true that would be very good news indeed. Lets hope this one dies on the shelf, and doesn't leave any foul lingering odors as it does.
Egads, just looked at the house vote for 1676, overwhelming pass. Here's hoping your assessment is what actually takes place Bardic. In the meantime just in case there are 'foul odors' left a lingerin' might not be such a bad idea to breakout the seal-a-meal and fill some empty spaces in the freezer.
