The last few days I've been vaping Caramel Apple using a CE4+CC clearo, and today, for the first time (for the sake of convenience), I filled one of my Vivi Nova 3.5ml tanks with the stuff, and it tastes completely different. Not bad, just different. My Vivi Nova has the same 2.4ohm coil that's in my clearomizer, and I've vaped it at every different setting on my eGo Twist, and the taste just isn't the same. Is this normal? I mean, my tank is already broken in and everything, so I don't think it's that. It still tastes the same in my clearo (better than the tank, btw), so that would indicate that the e-liquid itself didn't change in flavor. I'm mystified.

I have found e-cig equipment to be a very strange world.

I don't think their is any magic involved. Just tons of variables that it is hard to always predict and outcome.

Really? Thats a bummer, because (I'm a noob) I ordered three of them with plenty of extra coils. Oh well, live and learn, I guess. I'll stick with my clearomizers.

Edit: I don't know how that happened, but I meant to quote Chimney34 in this post...

I don't mean to turn you totally against them. I used them for quite a while. I think the novas are good & are just apart of the natural progression a lot of us go through when starting out. If the flavor difference doesn't bother you keep on vaping! The way someone explained it to me...it has something to do with the liquid having to travel up the wicks. Maybe you want to try a bottom feeder. I eventually moved to carto tanks. But I loved my novas when I used them. Easy to use, clean, & refill!

If you find you hate them go ahead & get verified & sell them in the classy's

I don't hate them, I was just...surprised at the difference in taste. Thank you for your input, just the same. :toast:

Awesome! It was funny for me because I had such a terrible time with regular clearos leaking on me constantly that I never noticed the flavor difference until I tried a carto. I was just so happy to not constantly have to wipe off my battery or blow the juice out so that I could take a couple of vapes before blowing the juice out again!

Wonder if you might give me a recommendation on cartos? I've only used clearos and nothing tastes good!!

Sure but first I'm wondering if you're letting your juice steep & if you ordered samplers or small bottles from a couple of vendors to see what you like. It can be hard to find the right juice for you. But to answer your question, I use Boge standard resistance cartos. If you have a fixed voltage device I'd probably use low resistance. Most vendors sell them so they should be easy to find depending on where you do most of your purchasing from. Check out Baditude's blogs. He has a lot of useful info & a list of vendors if you need it.

Thanks so much.. Yes I'm steeping and I've ordered an embarrassing number of samples! I have ego twists and spinners. I am having a bit of a hard time finding Baditude's blogs (using tapatalk app on my phone). But I'll keep on looking. I appreciate your advice.

Sorry I'm horrible with links but from the app try going to forum then community & then to member blogs. Click on best blogs & his name will be there.

I'll second Boge cartos, only brand of carto I really liked. Cartos change the flavor too but are great on the go and are decent for flavor. Atties and RBAs taste the best for me by far. Equipment is funny with vaping, I've had two of the same brand and specs atomizers, look the same in every way, but the same juice would taste vastly different between them. Dripping RBAs vary based on how you build them but they are very consistant if you build them the same way each time.
