i think i am starting to understand how some juices are raved here but when i try it out, it is no good.

i realize now, some juices when under zero nics, taste really good and i could literally vape it all day long.

but once i put some nicotine on it, the flavor turns 'plasticty' and just plain junk.

it'd really help out when you review the juices, you specify what nicotine strength you vape, because that seems to really turn the tide.

for instance, i just tried tribecca-like juice without nicotine and it was smooth, slightly nutty, and delicious. but once i put in nicotine, it tasted like plastic.

You have made a good point ... Nicotine changes the flavor of a juice. Nicotine, by it's nature is bitter, and does make a big difference.

I have pretty much come to the conclusion that there are 2 very separate and distinct types of people that vape.

1. The ones that just enjoy the taste and really have very little of a nicotine habit. These folks will normally vape very high VG, low Nic, sweet juices.

2. Then you have the ones (like myself) that are vaping to get that nicotine fix ... Taste is nice, but secondary to that nicotine fix we crave. Unless we have some kind of an intolerance for PG, we are the ones vaping high PG / high Nic, and in many cases, tobacco type flavors ... And we will never really get the full flavors from our juice that the low Nic vapers are getting.

Agree or not, but that's my thought on this . Of course, there are always the exceptions to this.

Sad to say, but I would vape dog crap as long as it had enough nicotine for me to get my 'fix'.

This is the exact reason I stick with 6mg. It's just enough nic to get me through the day, but also keeps the flavors tasting much better. Of course I have to chain vape all day to get what I need, but I don't mind :) Taste is important to me.

Its still good to have that option available

I have been dropping my nic a little at a time I started at 18mg now I split time between 5,6,8 and 9 mg
9mg will be soon eliminated and 4 mg will soon be introduced

I find its much easier to drop when I have some juice at a lower nic right now 5 mg for instance
and some at a higher for when I need a bump now is 9 mg

the point is its good to have options available
different people may have different goals or needs

I smoked 1 1/2 pks. marlboro lights for 24 years. I started vaping over a month ago and started with 12 mg and I want to drop down (trying to eliminate nicotine altogether eventually) so I just ordered some 6 mg in flavors I like. I'm hoping it changes the flavors to better and not that I don't like them they were my favorites.

I found its best not to change the whole rotation at once
and its best to lower the desert stuff first

I have 6 cartomizers so was going to try 6 mg in some and still keep some 12 mg in a couple just until I get used to 6. I have a bottle of 18 mg that was too strong can I just add some VG to it to bring it down in nicotine without loosing the banana flavor?

yes but you will also cut the flavor that way

I usually just get another bottle same flav with lower nic to mix
15ml 18 mg + 15 ml 0 mg mix to 9 mg

When I did a sudden drop from 12 to 6, it was pretty tough for a couple weeks.. Dumb move on my part...

My suggestion is to mix some 12 & 6 at 50/50 to create some 9mg..

Keep vaping your 12 part-time, but also vape some 9 part-time, too.. Gradually switch full-time to 9 by phasing out the 12

Once you're comfortable there for a while, start vaping some 6 part-time, then phase out the 9...

Etc., etc.

It can be a little bit of a pain sometimes, but gradual step-downs by mixing for nic levels is the way to go.. Cutting nic by 25-33% at each step is probably the max limit..

Seriously, don't rush it.. Spend some time at each level, then when you're ready again, slowly introduce the next lower level...
