I made a very stupid mistake in a mix calc and the actual mix.
Hoping someone can help me save it...

In my calc, I used 48 mg/ml 50/50 nic.
In my mix I actually used 48mg/ml 100 pg nic.

Any idea on how I can fix this?
I only mixed 8ml, I don't mind making it into 10ml or whatever to get the correct %'s.

Original:
Target 8 ml @ 16mg/ml nic, 65pg/35vg mix.

Nic - 48mg/ml 50/50 - 2.67ml
PG - .91 ml
VG - 1.47ml
Flavor 1- 25%/2ml
Flavor 2 - 6%/.48ml
Flavor 3 - 4%/.32ml
Flavor 4 - 2%/.16ml

I actually used Nic - 48mg/ml 100pg - 2.67ml
so I actually have a lot more pg, but just adding vg will throw everything else off also.

Any ideas?
Thanks

I'm not sure what the problem is.

It's only 8ml. It tastes good, which is the primary thing. The PG/VG ratio is off a bit...what does that ruin? It's not like it is too thick for cartos or clearos or tanks.

I'd vape it for day or so and when it is gone, mix the next batch after double checking my inputs.

Your both right, and the batch is fine to vape.
What bothers me is that I can't figure out how to fix it.
If this had been 50ml or 100ml, it would be a mess.
I've written programs before to figure out helix angles, rake angles, clearances etc etc etc when values are missing or bad, so this should be simple and it has me stumped.

no biggy.
Thanks people...

Eh, there are some problems that just aren't worth the effort to solve.

Like, why do fools fall in love? Who put the Ram in the ramalamdingdong? Why does it take me so many attempts to find a shoe that fits? Errr, scratch that, I know why, but there is noting to be done about my triangular shaped feet.

Hint to setting up the OP equation, set a final volume to eliminate solving for two variables at once. Or just vape it and forget equations for a bit and instead catch the latest Damsels of Dorkington video.

In my calc, I used 48 mg/ml 50/50 nic.
In my mix I actually used 48mg/ml 100 pg nic.

Original:
Target 8 ml @ 16mg/ml nic, 65pg/35vg mix.

Nic - 48mg/ml 50/50 - 2.67ml
PG - .91 ml
VG - 1.47ml
Flavor 1- 25%/2ml
Flavor 2 - 6%/.48ml
Flavor 3 - 4%/.32ml
Flavor 4 - 2%/.16ml

I actually used Nic - 48mg/ml 100pg - 2.67ml

Adding 1.35ml of VG will correct it, for the most part anyway.
It will dilute your nic and flavoring a tad, but you're not likely to even notice it.

That would make 70/30 PG/VG, close, but not 65/35.

PG=2.67+0.91+2+0.48+0.32+0.16=6.54ml PG
VG=1.47+1.35=2.82ml VG
Total 6.54+2.82=9.36ml

6.54ml/9.36ml = 69.87% or 70% really
2.82ml/9.36ml = 30.13% or 30% really.

Since the final volume is not a set quantity and you did not include it as a variable in your calculations to arrive at 1.35ml VG, it throws off the final total.

Many folks think these kinds of mixing solutions are solving for one variable, but that isn't the case.

The problem is the high percentage of flavors. But mixing up a 10ml batch, assigning 54% to target pg should get you to around 66% pg when combined with your original 8ml.

Ejuice me up has a handy screen called 'juice combine' that's a big help in figuring percents for nic and pg/vg ratios when combining juices. It's under the tools menu.
