Mixing juice question, not a true diy

I had to lower my nicotine intake from 18 to ?? (12-16). I've been advised on how to do that. My juice that I am going to be lowering the nicotine is 18 mg 70/30 (PG/VG); I ordered 12 mg 70/30, but was sent 12 mg 50/50 . The vendor is agreeable to rectifying same; just have to mail it back. To avoid that hassle, I'm wondering if any recourse? The 12mg 50/50 is ok, not great; it's good for night vaping, but not as my day vape. If I mix the 70/30 with the 50/50, am I going to wreck havoc; would it be better just to return it and get the proper mix of 70/30?

Mix equal quantities of the two and you will have 15 mg/ml 60PG/40VG. I'd generally call that "close enough" to getting 15mg 70/30. Alternately, if you mix 2 parts of the 18 with 1 part of the 12 you would have 16 mg/ml 63PG/37VG.

Thanks Mark; maybe I'll try that rather than return everything, which is a PIA!

And the mix for 12 and 14, is that possible? In case the 15 is too strong; I don't think it'll be, but one never knows.

16 is 2 ml 18 to 1 ml 12
15 is 1 ml 18 to 1 ml 12
14 is 1 ml 18 to 2 ml 12
12 is just 12

The above is a gentle stepdown sequence, only 1 or 2 mg/ml per step. I'm using 10 mg/ml now, vs. the 24 mg/ml (with some 30) when I started. I found it easy to do the small drops, maybe increase consumption slightly for a day. I'd rather slowly drop by only 1 - 2 mg every couple weeks rather than rush it. I still keep some higher strength around (DIY, I always have bottles of eliquid), but for me the higher mg/ml nowadays is more a "treat", not what I need to use to keep vaping happily.

The decreasing of nic level I understand as per your explanation a while back; I'm just worried about the PG/VG mix given I have the 50/50 and the70/30. I'll try the 15mg mix that you explained above to get the 60/40 PG/VG and see if that works, then worry about going down further. The 12mg I have now is actually not bad, it's just the flavor is much more muted, I guess due to the 50/50 mix and just missing that little "oomph".
