I entered and won a contest on ECF from Mister-e-liquid to be one of ten people to receive and review a free 6 mL bottle of Pure Michigan e-liquid. Mister-E-Liquid describes Pure Michigan as "a mix of apple and strawberry, two of Michigan's best summer cash crops, blended to perfection for a pure flavorful vape". It retails for $3.75 for a 6 mL bottle, $9.95 for a 18 mL bottle, and $15.00 for a 36 mL bottle on the mister-e-liquid.com website.
I requested a mix of 12 mg 40% VG. I received an order confirmation on 12/14. My order was shipped on 12/28 and I received it shortly thereafter. Their website currently states: "We are currently behind on online orders and are working as fast as possible to catch back up, please expect delays (5-7 days). We appreciate your patience during the holiday season." The package arrived with the 6 mL bottle as expected, a big promotional sticker, three promotional cards with a discount code for the first order, a "What is Steeping?" card (noting that my custom liquid was created on 12/17), and a "Free Tester" of Bermuda Rain 12 mg 33% VG (perhaps a 2 or 3 mL bottle).
Based on my very poor track record of ordering samples and finding juices that I actually like, I was afraid that I would not like Pure Michigan. Ive tended to stay away from fruit flavors due to poor experiences with overpowering and intense e-liquid from multiple Chinese and U.S. vendors. Based on these bad purchases and my personal tastes, I would never have purchased Pure Michigan or any apple-flavored e-liquid.
Ive been vaping Pure Michigan using a 1.7 ohm bridgeless 901 atomizer on my Provari this evening and I give it a major "thumbs up". Although it is flavorful, I do not find it to be too intense or over-powering. It smells like strawberries from the supermarket. It has a mild and sweet apple cider taste with a light strawberry aftertaste. The aftertaste reminds me of the dried strawberry slices that I get from Whole Foods. Ive been enjoying Pure Michigan so much that I am going to order a 36 mL bottle as I continue to finish off my 6 mL sample.
This has been my first review of any e-cigarette-related product (not including random comments on forums) and Im not in any way affiliated with the e-cigarette industry. I hope that you enjoyed my review and found it of value. I thank Mister-E-Liquid for the free samples and for running contests like this for the benefit of forum members. Writing this review was fun and was definitely worth the free sample of juice that I really like from a vendor that I had never heard of.
Coincidentally, as I was vaping Pure Michigan and watching television, I saw a "Pure Michigan" commercial promoting travel and tourism in the neighboring state.
