Hey guys.

Have been using the RX for awhile now, it's amazing when it works properly!

Not using TC, just VW. The problem seems simple but all of my efforts have thus far failed. Basically, it started cutting off (power) completely. I worked out that if I squeezed it with my hand (like squeezed the battery cover to be "more shut" even though it's fully shut) it will turn back on, but when I release it turns off again (usually).

Obviously a connectivity issue of sorts. With the battery cover off I noticed that if I squeezed the top end of the batteries (hand wrapped around the whole mod), it would turn on more so than the bottom end. Things I have tried:

Unscrewing and rescrewing (to tighten) the gold earth(?) screw. This seemed to help the first time I did it, but the problem returned and the screw is so tight I can't tighten it further (I've tried).

Dismantling the whole thing (this thing is a ..... to pull apart and reassemble). Didn't notice anything. Cleaned a small amount of residual juice out. Again, seemed to start working again for awhile **though I really didn't notice that I tightened any screw up more than it was to begin with.**

Wrapping duct tape around the top end of the batteries (around to the front where the firing button is) and putting the cover on over top of the tape. Again works somewhat, but is becoming less effective.

Hopefully this is enough info to give you an idea what I'm on about. The frustrating thing is that when squeezed, we are talking of movement like 1/10th of a mm at most I would think. Can't even feel the movement. It's obviously a connection issue somewhere I just can't work it out! FWIW, I'm using married sets of 30Q and 25R. External charger (LUCV4).

Seems like it should be something simple, but as it is I generally have to pull the cover off, press the batteries firmly and hold it like that before it will let me vape :( HAALP! Could make a video or take pics but I think the explanation is simple enough.

Edit: I should definitely add that at times I get 'battery low' or 'check battery' messages on fully charged (fairly new) batteries. I assume this is due again to poor connection meaning the mod can't draw as much power as it wants?

I had a cracked solder joint on the board from teh red wire that supplies positive power. it was still making contact to power the device, but wouldnt fire all the time. once I reflowed the solder that went away. it was the heavy (well heavy in this device) that is soldered into the u shaped groove in the side of the board near the bottom.
