I don't know if that is right size but they are cigarette size. Mine last maybe 6 months, is this normal ? Any better brands out there, I haven't found any.

Not sure what you're referring to w/ "505" -- Mig's
batteries use an 808 connection; maybe that's what you meant.
Anyway, the lifespan of the
batteries depends not on time but on the # of charges. Using them daily, 6 months worth of charges is about right.
To my knowledge, there are no "better" brands than Mig. None that last longer or perform better.
There are other, compatible brands. In my experience, the best compatible 808 battery is SmokeTip (smoketip.com). They're less expensive than Mig's, take the same cartridges & clearomizers, work reliably, and have a lifetime warranty (contact them for a return authorization, send them your spent battery/
batteries, & they'll include free replacements w/ your next order of cartridges or whatever).
However, they don't offer push button/manual batteries like Mig does -- draw-activated only, like Mig's "automatic" ones -- and they're shorter so don't hold as much of a charge as Mig's. i find the shorter length more comfortable but the trade-off is time between charges. Mig's batteries also boost their output as they drain so you get a more consistent puff until just before needing to recharge; SmokeTip's & other compatible batteries don't & you feel the drop in power for several puffs before the tip flashes.
Similar compatible batteries are also available at apolloecigs.com & themagicmist.com. The ones that say they're V2 compatible will work w/ Mig carts & clearos. Both brands are fine; i've just found SmokeTip's to be more reliable long-term (your mileage may vary).
Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck.
