It appears MEP Nuttal is the first MEP to publicly criticize the EU tobacco Products Directive's proposed ban on virtually all e-cigarettes and e-liquid. We need many more MEP's to do the same.

Mr Nuttall continued: "Also plain packaging will be easier to counterfeit and so the black market will increase.

"Menthol cigarette flavouring is lined up to be prohibited and a 'de facto' ban on electronic cigarettes is proposed. They will have to be authorised as 'medicinal products'.

''I find this particularly crazy as e-cigarettes are healthier alternatives to smoking. And, as I have previously said, the European Commission will not stop here, next it will be alcohol and foods."

That guy makes too much sense to be in a position to affect public policy. Logic and reason have no place there; only pure emotion.

Paul Nuttall is a member of UKIP a euro skeptic party that are serial objectors to EU policies. No surprise that they object to this one, still its 12 no votes to start with.
