I'm a bit dumbfound. Did some adjustments to juice- and airflow and get some flavor. The juice is described as 'Diesel is an excellent combination of vine ripe strawberries a dash of cinnamon layered with peanut butter and bananas', but what I think I get all the flavors at once and its not nice at all. Tried it on a vv pen mod at a vape shop and found the vape very tasty and layered, but on my setup it doesn't taste anything like that at all. Anyone knows whats going on?

Totally agree with the above ckquatt, you vape @ 10w and it's very tasty BUT on your ipv3 @ what watts ?
it taste like burnt toast ?
Does it taste the same @ 20w as it does going higher ?

I'm vaping Diesel from Dripaholics.
I'm not messing with the store bought. I adjusted the juice flow to the tank ;)
Tried to go really low on wattage and work my way up. Same flavor on low, just not so intense ;)
Yeah, in the vape shop it was a low variable voltage device. Not sure which one.
Lesson for me is stick to 50/50. Those are the juices that works best for me ;)

The stuff in the vv pen at the shop has probably been sitting in that tank for a while now and it's flavors have finally come to life. If you bought a brand new bottle and just started using it, it likely hasn't had time to steep and the flavors are very present yet. Maybe let it steep for a week or two then come back to that flavor and try it.

Like Romano cheese stated, could be possible the juice hasn't steeped yet . Have you tried different heights for the coil? Sometimes if you have it too hi, it will be a bit muted. Another reason the flavor can be muted is too much cotton in coil or improper wick tail placement. You also will be muted if not enough cotton is used, but that usually will lead to dry hits as well. If you tasted that juice in that other device, then your device should be very close to that. Those low power, smaller devices could produce a better flavor though, but it should be close, if not better. I would say it's in the build and sometimes it just takes time to really dial it in. Does the flavor increase as you close the airflow?

My coil is somewhat high now. Will try to lower it and see if that helps. I think the wick is good. I get no dry hits and good vapor ;)

I personally find a coil height of 1.2 mm optimal but it depends on how wide the coil is. I see some that have 3mm or bigger, so you need to play with it but usually the lower the coil, the more flavor you get. Also the more air coming into the coil, the more washed out the flavor will be. Now each atty is different so there again you need to play around

Aren't the Sub Ohm supposed to be more flavorful? Confused here!
I have not found that to be the case. my sub tanks give better flavor with a 1.5 ohm coil then with a 0.5 ohm coil.for me sub ohm tanks tend to mute subtle flavors. even on my RDAs I get better flavor with low power coils YMMV

I must be doing something wrong. I rewicked the coil because I wanted to try another flavor with less vg. Flavors still seems muted :( . Heres a photo of the build. Pointers appreciated:

I use a Nautilus Mini which is totally different (IMHO) but using an 80/20 VG/PG Fruit flavored e-Liquid I actually wiped one of the BVC coils in it yesterday. I had started to get a for lack of a better word sort of nasty taste recently so I cleaned it with a cloth and blew it out. It was a little better for a short period of time but had to change it yesterday.

Problem solved but the point of this rambling is that I have heard high VG and sweet e-Liquids do foul or clog coils. I like this flavor but if I have to change a coil every 15 ML's it will be the last time I buy it. Using a 70/30 Tobacco have gone through about 150 ML's on same coil with same taste. :2c::2c:

I don't really know much on this tank but it looks like your wick tails should only be in that gap. In this pic, looks like 80% of your tails are up on the deck instead of in the channels. I'm just guessing here because I don't own this tank but that's what it looks like in the photo. If I'm correct, in that it should only fill that channel gap, then that could be why.

There are different methods of wicking this tank. One is to have half the wick on the base and the other tail in the channel. I made a .8 ohm with 8 wraps today and the flavor is back. Last coil was .59 with 5 wraps. Think I didn't have enough surface to create a good vape on my mod. Will try this coil with the max vg and see what happens ;)

Ok......... although I'm not familiar with this tank, I have a ton of others and in alot of them, the number one reason is the wicking. What I find works real well is to not over stuff the channels. Especially now with most doing big diameter coils, that equates to a big wick tail. Although you may have the correct amount of wick thru the coil, it is possible to have to much at the ends, near channels. What I find works good is to actually trim some off the ends, where it sits in channels because if you have to much down there, it could prevent the wick from saturating properly especially with thicker juices.

I was thinking about the large coil diameter. I want to make smaller, but right now I only have 24g kanthal (I'm on vacation), so I need to have large diameter. If not I need to wrap over 12 rounds to get the resistance I want.
Another question. Is my ipv d3 80w suitable for very low resistanc? Say .3 ohm? Since I had the bad result with .59 ohm I've been specultaing a bit ;)

You should be fine with that mod as long as the connection is good. I had an ipv and the 510 was wonky. If the connection is bad the resistance changes and wattages could as well
