making your own flavor drops/tincture

anyone have any experience in making there own flavor drops for diy, insted of buying bottles from a vendor for 5$ a pop ?? i was thinking and, couldn't you dissolve a fruit or candy in nice vodka? (kinda like a tincture) let it sit for a few weeks/ months and then mix it with your unflavored pg/vg? i think it would be funner and maybe even cheaper.
is there a guide to doing this or maybe a few other posts about this subject?

i would be very greatful if anyone could advise me on the subject or redirect me to another thread.

i might even be able to evaporate some of the alcohol out of the mixture with a rice cooker or something before putting it in the pg/vg. make a stronger concentrate maybe?

The sugars in naturals as well as additives preservitives in the processed foods or candies would not work for vaping. They would burn up coils and you would not want to vape the other unknown unproven ingredients not knowing what the health risks would be.

how do the suppliers make flavor drops?
i have read that some of the flavor drops smell like alcohol and people had to let some of the alchol evaporate out by leaving the bottle open for some time.

There is a subforum above this one. People are doing extractions and there are a lot of how-to and good experiments in there. Coffee, tea, tobacco for sure. Every one I've tried didn't really turn out well so I don't go there much.
