I made mine with just a few parts from a discarded computer. One of the fans (the big ones that go mounted on the computer case, not the cpu one) is the motor. The magnet is one of the hard drive magnets, they are super strong! When you open the hard drive you will find 2 of them, only 1 is needed. Then I glued (with epoxy) the magnet to the center of fan, and basically that is it. Now you need to put this in a suitable plastic enclosure, or you can build it yourself with some wood and acrylic, no science here, all you need is the top of enclosure as close as possible to fan/magnet, without touching it. Now you can "sophisticate it" a bit with a switch, a rheostat to adjust rotation speed, and a power supply.

All the above are nice projects, and I enjoyed building my own mixer. if you enjoy this kind of things, go for for it. Otherwise it is overkill. Now I just use one of those milk frothers that take 2 AA batteries, use it on mix for about 20 seconds, wait for a while until the tiny bubbles are gone then crockpot it in low setting for 3-4 hours.

Of course, I would use my magnetic mixer more often if I mixed 120ml or more liquid at the time, which I never do.

I do agree its a total waste of time, energy and money since theres no real reason to make one unless you make huge batches... And i think its a minority of vapers who do that... But i actually made a 100ml batch of my own tobacco mix that needs a long steep time for the taste to get right

Yeah its so true, i bet i can find 20+ of them if i take a a good look... But i will need one with a bit more power, when i turn on the heater the fan speeds down... Im guessing every household throws out a couple mag mixers a year :p

Sounds like you are a perfect candidate for an ATX power supply conversion.
