Low Nic Juices with BIG Throat Hit! (and good flavor, too!)

Hi Folks!

As a vapor who's been off analogs for the last couple of years, I value few things more in an ejuice then TH or Throat Hit to the newbies!

The problem is, juice is expensive, buying loads and loads of flavors in various strengths just isn't something i can do on a limited income - and i know i can NOT be alone in feeling this way. So i thought, Lets make a list of GREAT juices with Phenominal TH, for those of us who crave that more then anything in an alternative to analogs!

In all honesty, I have been vaping WAY higher nicotine juices just to get the desired Throat Hit - Until last week, when one of my favorite Juices was only available in 8mg strength, and rather then walk out empty handed, i decided to try it - and Low and Behold :GASPS: It was just as good of a throat Hit in the lower strength as it was in the higher nicotine levels! Yay me!

Now, Of course, Flavor is always something valuable, but good flavor with NO throat hit equals something i wont be vaping unless its all i have left! I figured that i couldn't be the only one with this mindset, so i thought i'd come here and start a LIST of great Juices, great flavors, and most importantly, great Throat Hits!

So, please list:

The juice name
The Vendor
The nicotine level (and remember, we are looking for lower nic levels here, for those of us who vape non stop and do not wish to have a a nicotine coma from high nic juices)
And Throat HIT! Scale of 1-10, 1 being non-existent and 10 being downright RECKLESS!
A brief description of the flavor and your rating from 1-10 ,
And if you have any aditional notes about the juice, feel free to add it!

So, I'll start out the list:

I usually like a nearly reckless throat hit, so the fact this worked for me says a lot.

Throat Hit: On a 1-10 scale, I'd say this throat hit falls between a 7 and an 8 - Low enough not to be "reckless" but high enough to satisfy even the most hard core vapors around.
Rating and Flavor Descrption: Blue water Punch reminds me of Juicey Fruit Gum Flavor - but WITHOUT the "Bubble Gum" - Just the wonderful tropical fruit flavors with none of that unsavory gum quality. Its fresh, sweet, but not too sweet and very refreshing. It really is one of my all time favorite Vapes - DEFFINATELY an "All-Day-Vape" and typically i've never really been a "fruit" flavor girl, but this i just LOVE! My 1-10 Rating for flavor is a ... 9


I'm really looking for other great Juices with HIGH Throat Hit, and LOW Nicotine content. I know others have to be looking for the same thing. Please, add your favorite hard-hitting daily-vapes to the list, Post away! Lets share our experiences.

I've tried approximately 500 - 600 different eliquids in different strengths. Throat hit (inhaled feel of the real thing) provided by nicotine just can't be duplicated by anything other than nicotine. Glad low nic strength works for you, but for many who have been at this for a while, the lower the nicotine, the weaker the TH regardless of the flavorings in the eliquid.

I agree totally, but this juice... surprised me. Like, REALLY surprised me. I have been vaping closer to 20mg and jumping to the 8 was really just about the same TH, and i like a strong, "reckless" throat hit. If ONE Juice somehow managed to create it in a low nic, i'm sure there are more...

No one else has a low nic high th ejuice to share with us?

There are certainly juices that, at a certain nic level, provide better throat hit than other juices at that nic level. For example, I have a juice that I vape periodically called "Red, White and Blue" from a local vendor called GoodVapes, that hits like a freight train at 18mg. I've got other juices that don't provide much of a TH at 18mg.

Unfortunately for me, I haven't found any juice below a 16mg level that provides the throat hit I desire.

Great idea for a thread, but sorry there's so little response. I was hoping to find some good ideas when I saw the title. I tend to agree that it's hard to find a juice with a- low nic level that gives a good TH. Though I haven't been vaping long, I've tried quite a few juices and since most of my nic levels are between 8-12 mg I tend to find the need to take a few hits every now & then from hubby's higher nic juices to get that satisfying TH. Also, I turn the voltage up on my ego even though I don't like the flavor from the higher voltage or vaping a little menthol / peppermint flavors help with TH.
I'll have to try the Blue Water Punch.....thanks.

I wonder how many here have gone to Low Nic level, or avoid to go there for fear of not enough TH, It sounds like a good thread. Let it float for a while.

I've gone 0 nic with the result of adding nic because there is no throat hit at all. 70/30 pg/vg. Now I'm vaping it with 2.8mg/ml just to have that throat hit...light hit or not...it's there and more pleasing than 0 nic.

And yea, raising the nic level for a throat hit kinda sucks. But i think MANY of us have done that! I think an e juice that has a really rough or harsh throat hit at the higher nic levels might work at lower ones. Its worth checking out, at any rate.

And the blue water punch juice was in all honesty VERY shocking. I went in to the shop to get it in 16mg and i usually vape around 20mgs, which i think/feel is too high for my own personal physical body. They were out of it in everything but 8mg, i was disapointed and the guy offered to let me try it and i just couldnt believe how good the throat hit was.

Because of that experience, it made me realize that there just HAD to be more juices out there that worked at low nic with a High Throat Hit. If one manages, then of COURSE there has to be other juices out there that are comparable.

This brings up another thought for me - a Juice company that specializes in juices that have a good throat hit at EVERY nic level would do really really well. I wonder what Safe "additive" could be used to up throat hit - kinda like menthol a nd cinn flavors make the TH harder. I wonder if there is something else that could be used. SAFELY. clearly we dont want to be using anything unsafe.

Even though I continue to vape at 18-24mg nic even after two years, I no longer require the intense throat hit that I needed when I first began vaping. I now appreciate juices that have lower throat hit and occasionally none at all.

In all honesty, however, I've never vaped any low-nic juices (12mg and under) that had a throat hit I found satisfactory. Many vapers may disagree with that and be perfectly accurate. In my case, though, whenever I want substantial throat hit (which I still enjoy in tobacco blends), I buy retail premixed juice or make diy juices at 24mg/ml. I vape a lot of 18mg, but I notice the difference.

If there was an additive that provided the same throat hit as nicotine in eliquid, everyone would know about it and most would be buying that eliquid. Plain and simple, it doesn't exist. The suppliers sure wouldn't be hiding it from us.

It's a shame that I don't have any juices to add here,however I am very interested in finding some low mg TH juice/liquid.I have worked myself down to the 16 mg area but feel somewhat stuck at that level due to the lack of TH.

Yea, I really wish there were more.

I vape on a sorta ghetto system. But i just ordered a LavaTube used but brand new (purchased but never used, and resold on the forums here) for really good deal. So thats in the mail and i'm hoping it gets here really soon. But my current system is:

Parks Vaping Diamond Mod (flashlight mod expertly put together for a reasonable price.) And since i have a tendancy to drop stuff non stop, its lasted me a good while and i appreciate it for what it is. Which is replaceable for me.

I LOVE this Atty, I personally think Avid Vapor makes the very best atty i've ever had the pleasure of using. I think Ikenvapes is the next on my list for atty's. But this atty is just spectacular in my humnle opinion.

Using this set up, i find that certain juices pop a lot more. Higher throat hit then with a carto or another type of atty. :shrugs:

Regardless, I think there has to be more then a few ejuices out there that provide a good throat hit. And i also am hoping that the lavatube will allow me to tweak up my voltage for a bit better of a throat hit.

And don't Higher PG Juices have higher throat hits and VG juices have more vapor production, Right?

Okay, I had an Idea...


List Juices that have RECKLESS and BRUTAL throat hits at 16 - 20mg The kind of throat hits that makes folks cringe and cough! Then we can TRY them at a lower mg's and see if they BELONG on our new list.

I think alot of juices don't even get tried at the lower mgs for fear we are wasting money on a juice we wont be able to vape much due to no th. So instead we always buy at the higher mg.

A while back I believe Good Prophets had a all VG Line. They dont have it anymore but I can tell you it had the strongest TH of anything I have ever tried at 18mg. It was like a mack truck being jammed down your throat... That sounded really bad btw. It was so strong I used the 30ml bottle I had to add TH to other liquid. Mixing 20 percent of it into another liquid significantly increased the TH of the other juice.

They no longer sell it though..... I have no clue what was in it that made the TH so strong... It was crazy. I wish they still had there VG line.

I have actually gone back up to 24mg just for stronger TH. I unfortunately get headaches from it if I vape to much.... I feel like vaping isnt satifsying unless It has a strong TH...

Alien Visions TH is pretty good..... But I wish I could go down to 12mg from 24... Its just not strong enough with that little nicotine.

I you upgrade to a good variable volt or 5 volt model PV and vape between 4.5 - 5.0 volts, it will enhance the throat hit somewhat due to the warmer vapor. Adding a dual coil carto/atty at the power level will also help some.

I had surgery a few months ago and was told by my doctor that I should slow or stop my nicotine intake; that this would shorten my recovery time. Prior to the surgery, I vaped only 24 mg juices.

I was able to stop vaping for a while, but ordered 0 mg to see how i liked it. I didn't. I tried a number of juices at 6 mg and still thought vaping was pointless at this level. I made the switch to 10 mg and found I can get by with the right juice. I found that vaping juices with higher %'s of pg helped, but Mom & Pops Tobacco Haze and RY4 @ 10 mg's did the trick for me. Both of these from M&P's are made with tobacco absolute. I find tobacco absolute hits harder than most at lower nic levels. Now... Don't get me wrong, as soon as I get the green light from my doctor, I'll be jacking my nicotine up to 18 mg's, but for now, M&P's at 10 mg is getting me by pretty comfortably.

I totally agree, its just NOT satisfying unless there is a good throat hit. :Shrugs: I just ordered 3 bottles of the Blue Water Punch, which is the only one i've found that i like at 8mgs but my batteries are dying so its not as strong as i want. But thats battery related not juice related. My last bottle was awesome and my batteries were in better condition. Truth is, my whole PV is kinda dying, i'm counting the minutes till my lavatube gets here, lol.

Alright, we need suggestions for strong TH juices we can try at lower MG and see if they satisfy. Or just a good Low nic juice with High TH, which ever.

nicotine does factor in a lot in the TH but the other thing that gives you that punch is the amount of PG. Higher PG maybe the reason your juice is low in nic but high in TH. Higher PG like 60pg or higher will give you more throat hit but the higher in PG you get less vapour. Its all what satisfies you and thats what vaping is all about. Funny how all of us differ so much. For me its all about the taste and clouds and clouds of vapour. TH is the least that I care about. I am a vape hound, I vape a lot( 3-9ml a day) so I have had to lower my nic content because I was over- nic-ing. I was getting nauseous and shaky and getting head aches. So I vape at 12mg or less, usually 6mg.

I was also remembering that some companies add certain flavors to their juice to get TH, ingredients like a touch of clove, coffee, cinnamon replicate TH. Your juice deliver also affects the heat and the TH. I get more TH with the same juice when I use my Phoenix RA and I think I remember that the Ikenvape 306 and the 901s 1.7 atty were too harsh for me so you might like them. You have to get and adapter for those to work with you 501 devices.
