What's everyone's thoughts on the therion 166 having no vent holes? I have one and noticed this the other day
Since the battery door isn't airtight (no gaskets, it just slides/clips on) I don't really think it's a big deal. If it was a tube with a screw on cap, it would be something I would worry about.

PS I think if your batteries were to vent, the pressure could escape from where the door meets the frame.

Cheers,
Steve

Very nice, now I'm officially jealous! :D

I agree 100%. The Triade is my favorite triple 18650 mod but I like dual 18650 mods better for the same reason's you mentioned. They feel great in hand, lighter, and easier to take out and about. The Therion at the moment, is the mod I'm almost always using. It's a very solid felling and classy looking mod. You can't beat the Triade for great battery life though. They compliment each other well. :toast:

Cheers,
Steve

I have both 75 and 250 and can't agree more. Triade 250 is a "chilling at home" mod.

I was wondering if the DNA 200 profile on steam engine for SS316L can be used on both?

Thanks.

Yes they can. The wire profiles on Steam Engine are just CSV files. I use the same ones on all my DNA mods (250, 200, and 75).

What is this jazz with profiles?

Screw tank, lock resistance, set TCR for SS316L and enjoy is not enough? [emoji46][emoji46][emoji46]

A TCR is a single number that resistance rise would be calculated from. Not all wires have resistance rise in a linear fashion. A wire profile is a curve that's usually calculated off 10 or so points. Theoretically, the profile would be more accurate. In the real world, I'm not sure you would notice a difference one way or the other.

First of all, thank you all for encouraging me to choose this device. After 9 hours of usage, I already see it is on a different level compared to Joyetech product I own.

Usually I'm prepared for products I buy, but for this mod there was no time.

I only use SS316L wire. I also have Ti gr. 2, but because during brake-in period it tastes really bad and I don't use it. Currently I exclusively vape on SS316L but this wire was not listed on my mod. First I download CSV from Steam-engine, uploaded the CSV to EScribe, used SS316L material on profile 3 instead of SS316, lowered preaheat from 100W to 50W and got a big dry burned hit.

I downloaded this: 5 - SS 316L TC v2.ecigprofile and it was even worst. 133W, 290C is not for my Zephyrus v2. On Cuboid and Evic mini mini my TCR was 92 and I was vaping at 35W, 240C and I was happy with the vape. Now temperature has to be much lower or I'm burning my cotton.

A couple of things.
1. Temperature determines how hot the Vape is (I use 420F)
2. Preheat and Power (watts) determines how fast it gets to your set Temperature.

If you want to PM your Email address, I'll send you my Ecig file. It has 7 TC Profiles (all different wires), 1 for Power Mode, Custom Screens, Custom Theme, Case Thermals, Battery discharge curves, etc. No pressure for you to do this, I'm just offering if you are interested.

Cheers,
Steve

Been thinking about if the profile for SS316 at Steam Engine is better than what the manufacturer has set?
I set up all my wire profiles the same on my DNA mods. I've been doing it since before the mods came set up. I use the curves from Steam Engine. I have 7 different wires set up for TC. One of them is SS316L. I use the one labeled SS316L/Elite. I have my ecig file if you want it, just PM your email address and I'll send it to you. I've already run the case analyzer as well so it includes the case thermal numbers. Custom screens, theme, etc.

PS I'm not sure if the one Lost Vape used is the same, I just use the ones I always use. They have always worked great for me.

Cheers,
Steve
