When i was stuck with the 510, I started dripping because of the better vapor production over carts. It was good for a while, but now ive upgraded to a Sparkplug, its rocks, and i dont want to use anything else but the eGo i got to borrow from this cool guy, for when i go places. But i use the SP at home, and thats where i do bout 2/3 of my vaping. When i drip, i get good flavor for 2-3 hits and then it changes (for the worse) and weakens, and its a good 10 hits or so before i can drip again. I cant even taste the fruit flavors period. When i use the cart, SmartCart, i get just as much vapor, really looks like more, but its the weak crap flavor from the beginning. Everything tastes similar, fruit and menthol. The filler is soaked(not too much), so i know its getting the atty wet properly.

Same thing on the eGo with both.

I'd really like to use the smartcarts, cuz now with the SP, they make huge vapor(and i just bought em), but i hate the taste(almost nonexistent) though id settle for dripping if itd taste right.

I dont want to go back to the 510, because it makes hardly any vapor comparably, and the flavor was mediocre at best.

What am i doing wrong???:(

i know people are going to say, get cartos, and yea, im going to try the CE2 or dual coils when i get the $, which i dont have right now. I need to make the carts or dripping taste right, the vapor production is great already, but there must be a way to get good flavor, or i dont think anyone would use them.

Yeah, I hear ya. I've always either flooded attys or had them running dry. It wasn't from a lack of knowledge, experience, or curiosity. It was too much trouble. I think I move around too much, and it was too much trouble. In the old 510 days, I became aware that vaping had merit and could help me quit. It was going to be too labor intensive over the long haul.

I know its not what what you want to hear - but the dual coil cartos are nice. Thick, rich, lasting vape. The CE2's are a waste, IMO.

Dripping for me worked far better than cartridges ever did.

I love dripping, its just that the flavor dies out after 2-3 hits. Is that normal?

I dont really wanna use carts, but i do kinda like the smartcarts for travel, they just don't taste good like they did on the 510

After the first three puffs the flavor may start to dissapear depending on your vaping rythm... In your case it does... Then you cannot re-drip cause you will have to go on vaping for around 10 puffs; there seems to be a pattern...
Your dripping gives you around 3 good puffs and 10ish with muted flavor, so it seems the right level of juice to your atty or the sweet spot is there; so you might wanna keep your atty at that 'juice level'... But... I guess that if you re-drip you might flood your atty... Ok, what you could do is re-drip a tiny drop as flavor diminishes and see what that does for you...
Debridged atties are only good for 3ish puffs and very inconvenient coz you can only drip one droppie at a time... But they get to be very consistent flavor-wise, so if the former does not work for you because you cannot keep your atty at the right level (which might be tricky if you wanna get that 'golden puff' constantly) then... go bridge-less and debridge de-wick... You will have to prime and start dripping around two drops and getting a few puffs, but eventually you will end up with an atty which holds only one drop and will give you about three good consistent puffs... This way you would be getting the three puffs you are enjoying but also being able to keep things where you want to...
Hope this helps; let me know how things worked for you!
=)

Regular or mega 510 batts run at around 3.1-3.2v underload. Your sparkplug runs at 3.7v underload. With a regular 510 atty that's @4.5Watts vs. 6.2Watts and the fruit flavors will taste better with the lower watts.

How old is the atty? Do you blow it out every now and then? Have you tried cleaning it at all? I typically hold off on cleaning until I find it necessary. After a week to 10 days or so my atties can start to get funky and thats when I push some hot water through it with a syringe. Just a thought.

^^^This.

Plus, I have to wonder if you're power vaping. Does your attie get hot? When the attie gets hot I have a lost of flavor but there isn't any burning.
