I was looking to make the jump from my KGO to a innokin SVD. My question is how do i select the right battery for the device? I understand it can use different size batteries cause it is a telescoping mode.... but i don't understand battery specifics lol 3400mAh Protected Panasonic 18650 battery cell by Orbtronic would this battery be too much for the innokin? I read different things about amp limps within devices but i just do not understand what that means at all

Like both gjshaw29 and jxc0175 said "mah" is basically a meshurement of how long th battery lasts. Those numbers are usually a bit on the optimistic side in my opinion, but still... A higher number should equall longer batterylife.
As for the "18650" part, those numbers are basically the messurements of the battery. Th first two (18) is the diameter in millimeters, the next two (65) is the length in millimeters. I don't know the signifigance of the last number, but since it seams to always be a zero, maby that doesn't matter.

Thanks for the reply guys! This forum is awesome. I haven't had a analog in a little over 3 weeks now.. I feel grossed out whenever someone around me smokes them lol Makes me feel bad for putting all my friends through me smoking around them :(

OP, what you need is an IMR 18650, not that battery. The Innokin iTaste specs page clearly states it uses IMR batteries. You don't need a protected battery, you need one with the proper chemistry. That means one meant for high drain.

The Panasonics ARE good. I have the Orbtronics in my Provari, BUT I use the 2900 mAh HIGH DRAIN http://www.orbtronic.com/batteries-...li-ion-battery-button-top-panasonic-orbtronic Li ion hybrid for high current. http://www.orbtronic.com/batteries-...tton-top-high-drain-battery-cell-li-mn-li-ion
These don't need to be "protected" because they are a hybrid Li-ion/Li-Manganese

Yup, just wanted to make sure you didn't buy the wrong ones! They have a return policy but nobody likes to buy the wrong batteries for their new toy. Good choice in the Orbtronics though for sure, the 2900 mAh was the longest life I found in the high drain, but a pair of them lasts me well over a day easily, and I am a chain vaper. Plus I got a free battery box with my order.

The Zero denotes it's a cylindrical shape. Basic to Advanced Battery Information from Battery University

SUB,
I think you might benefit from selecting a Twist or a Spinner as your first introduction to VV.
Simple, easy to use, easy to carry and cheap if it breaks or is lost.

Have fun
