My Lemo 2 leaked like crazy. That may be the norm and I may have gotten a bad one.
Sorry but that's not the norm at all. You either got a dud or did something wrong. The vast majority of us love it.

And I'm of the opinion that if you want a single coil setup, don't buy a dual coil deck. Get a dedicated single coil and/or dedicated dual-coil.

And finally, yes... Trapping wire under screw heads is old-tech.

I've been using the rba deck on my subtank but it's a pain in a half to build on and even harder to wick. I've been looking for a stand alone rta that is easy to build on. So far I've looked at the lemo 2. Orchid clones and goblin mini. I'm leaning towards lemo 2, but am open to recommendations. I also want one that's at least somewhat easy to refill which is why I'm leaning toward the lemo 2.
It's not "stand alone" but the Smok TFV4 is an amazing tank, and the RBA sections are open and easy to build. So far I've only used the single coil RBA head, I've got the dual coil version ordered. I like it so much I'll probably end up with a couple more.
Oh, and for those lazy days, the tri coil head is amazing

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping

I would buy the tfv4. But I have nightmares imagining how much juice it uses. Once I perfect a couple more diy recipes I might be in the market for one: I'm gonna pair a x cube 2 and a uwell crown eventually. A man can only dream lol. Still looking forward to the vertical STM coils.
The better last at least a week

I say get the Aqua v2. Its my favorite dual coil tank. I can't think of anyone who hated it. $25, and if you hate it, it should be easy to sell or trade.

Thanks @roxynoodle for the heads up on this great deal from Local Vape! Got it in on Friday, gave it a soak and a scrubbing on Saturday and last night threw in a 1 ohm stainless build before I went to bed and set it in a cup to see if it leaked. No leaking and (thanks to YouTube and ECF wicking tips) it's vaping just fine. Build quality and flavor are both outstanding. Agree this is a great choice for a first RTA.

And can be used as a dripper for anyone who is struggling with the wicking until s/he gets it down :). Or anytime, of course.
