Hi

I have been vaping for a few years, normally using a battery that uses an average of 13 watts, but I'd like to move up to one that produces a huge amount of smoke. I'd also like to get a reasonably big hit, and ideally to be able to change it (maybe more than simply turning down the voltage) so I can use it in smoking areas or when around people. Not too fussy about either DL or MTL, when I take a pull, I may hold a bit before inhaling, but it's not intentional. Didn't even think there was a difference until hearing of it recently.

I have heard you need to pick a tank and/or coil that can support the higher voltage, and I'm looking at a choice of battery at either 220 watts or 300 watts. The higher the better I feel. Regardless of the tank I choose, can I just buy coils or atomizers that support the higher watts and stick them in instead? And finally am I good to go once I have both the battery and the tank (which comes with a coil)?

From what I've found, the most obvious based on the description would be "Aspire Cleito 120", it says "Rated at 120 Watts, intense flavor and gigantic vapor production, and it's ideal for cloud chasers". Sounds like what I want. However I imagine I can't use the 300 watt battery at it's highest setting is that correct?

Also found; ASPIRE REVVO, SMOK HELMET,

Nautilus X with a U-Tech coil, which are 1.5Ω and are rated for use at 14-20 watts, which I imagine counts this one out (however I heard many people like this).
And finally, Innokin Zenith D22, which says;
comes with two different coils to tailor your vaping experience.
– One 1.6 Ohm Kanthal coil for a cooler vape at lower wattages.
– One .8 Ohm Kanthal coil for a slightly warmer vape and slightly higher wattages. I imagine this too, only supports lower watt batteries.

Also, how do I know what liquid to get? Have been told it's not as straight forward as the basic types and you need to look at VG and so on.

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

If you really want the full force of your 300W (triple/quad-battery) mod applied, you have 2.5 choices for atties.

1) Smok TFV8 Cloud Beast and TFV12 Cloud Beast King tanks with their highest rated coils (up to 350w)
2) Eleaf Melo 300, up to 300W as the name insinuates.
2.5) A gratuitous DIY multi-coil setup in one of those large 30+mm RBAs. Good luck figuring that out.

And generally, the more VG you got in your liquid, the more clouds it will produce (as if that still played a role at 300w ^^)

Thanks Tailland, I'm watching a video about the Cloud Beasts there now, I think I'll take one of them. The Baby Beast is the only of the two available at the store I use so just trying to see if there's a difference that matters.

And for the Eleaf Melo, I have found Melo 3 Mini, is that the same as Melo 300? I prefer the Cloud Beast anyway I'd say.

I think I'll leave the DIY alone a while ha

Cheers

The Baby versions of Smok atomizers are an entirely different thing, much more modest, may it be the TFV12 Baby Prince or TFV8 (Big) Baby Beast. Highest rated coil (Baby T12) I've seen for them IIRC was 130W. I happen to love them because the baby beast coil format is very widely spread and many atomizers use it, which gives you lots of shopping choices. But.. they're not the strongest of the strong.

Sidenote: THe simple Baby BEast is the one I wouldn't buy. The tank only holds..what..3.5ml and it won't take the larger-bottomed baby coils which will usually only fit the 24.5mm diameter tanks.

And no, the Melo 3 is not the Melo 300 ;-) Not even close.

Thomas M, sorry but I have to ask have you ever vaped at high wattage or voltage before?

Because it'll be interesting if you haven't, and not necessarily in a good way.

But if you must, anything from Lost Vape Triade to Steam Crave Titan would provide you with more than enough power.

And a simple option for an atomiser would be an RDA, otherwise known as a dripper. They allow you to use very high Vegetable Glycerine liquids, as you drip the liquid directly onto the coil/coils and wicking.

And start off with low Nicotine levels, such as 3mg/ml. As you don't want to get Nic Sick, then the floor jumps up and hits you.

You do not need massive amounts of power to create huge clouds. First and foremost the human body can only consume a certain amount of vapor – so this will always be your determining factor to which only you can gauge with your abilities. Second – although more power equates to more vapor production, it also contributes to heat which again becomes a determining factor on whether you can handle high heat or not.

Smok exaggerates their power rating for their coils. In their defense they are not the only ones that perform this marketing ploy. Running drop in coils at their claimed top power rating dramatically reduces the life of the coil and most likely has ill effects on the quality of the vape. You will not be producing much clouds if your vape tastes disgusting and burnt or if you are constantly changing out your fried coils.

If your objective is cloud production with a subohm tank then have a look at some of the mesh offerings such as the Freemax Mesh Pro or the Horizontech Falcon. More than enough FLAVOURFULL clouds can be produced at well below 100 watts. Your device, batteries and juice consumption will thank you in the end!

Hi and welcome,
How long did you smoke and how many per day?
What is your budget?
Where are you located?
Ordering on-line WILL be much less expensive than buying in a B&M store.
What did the vape shop suggest for you when presented with your wants from above?

Do you have batteries and/or an external charger? Brand/model please.

Cheers

Thanks everyone for the comments, and sorry for the late response, had work I needed to stay with for the day.

Hi Izan, I smoke quite a lot, if I am smoking real cigs on the weekend I will have about 20 on a drinking day, but if not drinking then I most likely won't be smoking but vaping, but if I were, then maybe ten.
However, I do tend to vape tons more than I smoke.

As for my budget, I'd probably expect to pay around 60 - 80 for the mod, maybe more if necessary, but not too fusy about how much I end up paying.
Most important thing is to find something very good. I'm living in ireland , but I haven't spoke to someone in a shop in this much detail yet.
That was weeks back, but a few days ago a guy got me very interested in upgrading. A guy in one of the shops is very good so I'll head into him soon, just said I'd check out online comments first. And no, I have no batteries or charger.

And yes, thanks for that insight Punk, I don't necessarily care too much about huge watts or volts (I have little knowledge about wHAT I really need), but just a nice hit, plenty of taste and a big cloud.
A warm, heavyish, soft kind and fluffy kind of hit if you get me? But don't get me wrong, it needs to be strong so that it overpowers the desire to have a cigarette when I'm drinking.

And yes Mordacai, but only briefly, I tested out a hit from someone elses vaper, but it wasn't enough for me to get
comfortable with it, I nearly died in fact, since I wasn't used to it, but could feel that once gotten used to it would be much better than an ordinary one

Three mods I found in an irish website that I like, in order of preference. The last one is the most powerful,
but I feel that the first one looks really cool and seems to have cool features.
So it's not just the vape off it, but the look and feel of the mod itself too.

ASPIRE DYNAMO MOD

ASPIRE SPEEDER MOD

WISMEC REULEAUX RX300 TC EXPRESS KIT

I'll have a look at the suggestions here too of course.

Thanks

Thomas M, you may wish to consider the Nicotine level of the liquid you're using then. As with higher levels you'll satisfy your cravings.

This can even be done using MTL stealth vapes, and they produce very little vapour. Folks use Nicotine levels of around 24mg/ml.

I've heard that when using vapers that produce huge clouds, the recommended nicotine level is way less, such as about 3mg since it would be too strong otherwise??

Oh I see now, you were referring to me using it quite a lot is that correct? But I do use 18mg at the moment, I think it's more of the habit than the craving.

But...what do you want with a 2x18650 mod? Are you sure you want to buy two hard hitting 18650 with low milliamp hours to run that thing? because that's what you'll have to do to get some serious power out of them :ß
That's true, something I completely forgot about. As I mentioned though, I don't know much about them, just figured I'd go for one that is as powerful as possible. Just thought it would be a bit cooler to be able to turn the watts up to 300, and I thought the more watts the more vape/smoke. A girl in a shop the other day was suggesting a Smok Majesty for about 60 euro, and two batteries for 20 euro. Not too sure if that's a great deal or not, I recon there are much better mods than the Majesty. It is nice though, just being greedy for something a bit more flashy.

You could take a look at the X217, freshly released, takes 2*21700 ... looks good, delivers nice power if equipped with decent 21700s

Check here
Win Voopoo X217, Try The Most Interactive Dual-battery Mod
Now, that does look really cool. Was gonna say the red and black looked class, but noticed it was a light which is even better. There's a good chance I'll get that. Does it come with the whole lot, tank etc?

Hey Thomas.
Being UK based I've some idea of what's available here. You may want to spend some time in the vape shop.
The larger three cell mods can be a pain to carry around. There's lots of newer tanks for high wattage dtl (direct to lung) vaping that are really delivering flavour and wicking high vg juice well. Smok tanks often make a huge cloud but are a little lacking in flavour (the more modest baby beast with its 0.4 Q range coils are very good) also the quality of smok coils is very hit and miss which isn't great for the price. The good news is the baby beast size coils are now a very common size coil for other manufacturers which are more reliable.
Have a look at the planet of the vapes forum in the UK for some local bargains and discount codes.
Shout if you need anything.
Good luck.
