You should be able to search the document with your browsers search. I use google chrome and that is what I've been doing.

Sure is. Last 4 digits of my SS? NO, NO, NO. there are enough publuc records around to verify someone age with name and DOB. People throw those SS numbers around too easily. And then they get hacked.
I've had companies tell me, "well we cant verify who you are without that". Not true. They'll push you for it. I push right back. Sometimes they will back off sometimes they dont. If they don't I walk away. I hope most people do the same.
@tmcase I placed an order with Evape US again yesterday. They have that box that pops up about being 18. Nothing else. They must go with name, adress be ause on the receipt they emaile me was this line: "AVS Results : Exact match, 5-character numeric ZIP".
Obviously this AVP doesn't need to be as invasive as some companies choose to make it.

It depends on the cost. Most of these verification companies have several ways for a company to verify someone's identity. Of course, the cost is going to vary by method.

Today, we are turning off our BlueCheck verification system. This does not mean that we will not be verifying. We will be doing manual verification until we get a new system in place. Simply put, we cannot have our customers put through this hassle and headache any longer. As strange as it sounds, manual verification should be much easier on you guys. You will be requested to send in a photo ID selfie to verify you are who you say you are, but doing this once will cover you until we get a new system in place. (sounds to me that they are doing this UNTIL they have a new system in place for those who want to order before then)
We understand that there are privacy concerns with sending information in that manner. If you feel the need to obsfuscate data to put your mind at ease, feel free to do so. Keep in mind, however, that the more you obfuscate, the harder it is for us to tell whether it is a genuine photo ID. And you absolutely cannot obfuscate your date of birth or your name. If you have one of those old school IDs that has your whole SSN on it or something of that nature, feel free to cover that up as we don't need that.
So in short, there will be an extra step to ordering but it will remain very much the same. No need to worry about a third-party vendor that may or may not still be alive. If you have any concerns along the way, we no longer have to refer you to some other company. We can handle any verification issues that we have in house.

We have thunderstorms rolling in again so I may be offline at times. Keep posting though. I'll try to get back online in between storms. Shutting down for now.
I feel bad for the vendors all struggling with this. The fault lies with the FDA for not clearly specifying how online transactions should be handled. Face to face was easy, under 27 look at their ID. But if the FDA had simply specified something like "follow the age verification method approved for cigars or pipes" it would be a clear path. Vendors are so concerned about being out of compliance they are going above and beyond what a reasonable person would expect in this whole mess.

I totally agree. In fact, that magnetic strip on all credit cards carry a lot of info not only name and card number. It includes address, dob also. I didn't know that until a recent episode of my card number being fraudulently used. The new chip method is suppose to eliminate the use of swipe-ing the card but until all pos merchants are in compliance they have both.
So technically they already have all the info they really need to verify.

Here is an alphabetized Word document of the AV list so far. You can copy & paste it into a document file on your PC but you will have to update it yourself until I can figure out a better way. Veratad – Searches public files for age verification. If they can’t find a match you will be asked to provide some kind of personal ID such as driver’s license. They say they do not store any personal info. This is all done behind the scenes and could delay shipping until verification is complete.
Veratad has 2 processes, Batch, which allows ALL orders to go through, and at the end of the day the vendor has to manually verify the orders that got declined through this process. This process doesn't require a DOB and SSN. They may ask for it during the Manual Verification. The other process is API, where Veratad checks the Age of the customer DURING Checkout. Which is why the customer has to enter their DOB and last 4 digits of SSN.
Bluecheck - Collects: SSN #, telephone number, date of birth, social security number, IP address, the equipment you use to access their website, usage details or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline (”personal information”). They store info on their server, except for SSN, and share with subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, service providers and other third parties they use to support their business. Anyone under age 27 must provide a selfie with their driver’s license.
EVS – From their Privacy Policy: We may disclose any of the information we collect from or about you (as described above) to the following types of entities upon written request: regulatory authorities; affiliated or partner companies, such as data bureaus; or an entity that has executed a service or product contract with Electronic Verification Systems for purposes of providing our software solution(s).
