I was on your site last week checking on your progress. You're doing great (for yourself with the running and all) and doing a wonderful thing to help other folks. I don't know how one of your bracelets would look on an old geezer like me, but it if helps the cause, I'll prolly snag one or two :) No promises about wearing it, though.

Keep up the good work, girl!

Thanks so much Almighty God and ancient puffer :) Y'all are awesome!!! Ancient Puffer...I don't think anyone is "old" just experienced! :) My husband supports me but doesn't wear the bracelets I had made and one of my best friends supports me but he doesn't wear my bracelets either. But they both have one at any rate :) My Dad has the camo bracelet and he keeps it on his desk at work because he doesn't wear it either lol. It really means a whole lot to me all the support I have...it makes my heart feel good :)

I was thinking last night...sometimes this can be dangerous lol, but I was thinking non-the less...How awesome it would be if there were at least one bracelet in every state here in the USA. There are bracelets in Texas already, obviously, and there are bracelets on there way to ancient puffer in Virginia...so there are 2 states out of our 50 lol. I just think it would be super awesome for some reason and I'm not quit sure what made me think of it but I think I'm gonna make a goal out of it. Sounds pretty cool to me :)

So...on October 8th I will be running 10 miles for my training. I was sent an email from one of my mentors through Team In Training telling me about a run in The Woodlands which is about an hour away from me, not to far :) So I clicked on the link and low and behold its a 10 mile run called 10 for Texas! So I figured, might as well have a fun good ol' time running my 10 miles for training by doing this run which looks and sounds like it's going to be a blast. It's family fun for everyone and I'm excited to be able to do it and just thought it was really awesome that it's the same amount of miles as I have to do on that day anyway. This will be a GREAT practice run for me. I will be able to see what it will be like for my 1/2 marathons with all the people around...I am just use to running alone or once in a while with my friend Denise, so this 10 for Texas run will show me how other run day events will be like. I will be able to take pictures and share them y'all as well, which is exciting to me also :)

My goodness time flies! It's been crazy busy since the run but if you go to Bella Chic's Running Blog I've got a lil bit about the run with a pic :) I'm still workin hard and have a few things to work on to finish raising the money for my January 1/2 marathon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society but it's all coming along. Thank all of you for all your support! I'm trying to rehab myself from an injury for the Breast Cancer 1/2 marathon on November 13th...I'm taking it easy and going slow but I'm doing my best. Read about it in the blog...:)
