Wrap the important parts in something soft and put some vice grips on and twist away.
Rubber bands have come to my rescue more than a few times. Wrap up tight with rubber bands and twist. Good luck.
Heat makes things expand, you need cold for contraction. Put it in the freezer and then use some Playtex kitchen gloves to help grip it. I cut up the wifes old gloves for just that purpose.

Even though when in I'm out in public I never see anyone vaping. You would think there would be more people vaping from a tobacco growing state, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

If you have gave up on your device i am happily and willingly to take the device out of your hand lol but in the meantime try to put it in the freezer to cool the thread so it'll shrink a little then maybe you'll be able to take it off

Be careful applying force - last night I cracked the glass tank on my kraken squeezing it a bit too hard. It wasn't anything dramatic either - they seem to be quite delicate.
My kraken got stuck too. I took it apart (glass and cap at least) and took needle nose across the posts on the top for more torque and I held the base with a moist paper towel. Good luck.

Toppers getting stuck on Stringrays is not an uncommon problem. If you Google Stuck on Stingray mod quite a lot of results come back. Perhaps something in those may be if assistance.
