So I went ahead and ordered the Tobeco mini today, from Ebay seller, MyVapeCompany they are new, but they look legit from all the feedbacks. It did already ship out same day, which is good.

This thread has been about the Ivogo, so I said what the heck, try Tobeco and see how it goes. I can review it once I vape through a couple tanks if anyone is interested.:vapor:

Some Tobeco items are nice, some are awful. They really do seem to vary all over depending on the item. So it'd be great to get a review of the Tobeco version. Please do.

Just a heads up on the Ivogo - the plastic tank cracks very easily when "risky" juices are used. I tried some Mt Baker Amaretto in it hoping it wouldn't be a problem since I've used it in Evods without cracking. The next day, there were lots of cracks around the threaded ends where the PC is thinner. A replacement tank will cost at least half the cost of the Ivogo (maybe more than the mod itself if you need to order one from Europe). If you have doubts about the juice, I'd suggest only using the steel tank.

Update: Contacted Angelcigs about this and they're going to send me a replacement clear tank. It's being sent from China, since they don't stock them in their US warehouse. Great customer service.

So...

Anyone else have a problem using the fillhole or is it working for everyone else? Alsi i wonder why some Ivogo's come with the logo and some do not?

I'm looking forward to a TOBECO review from a few people and hope they're good. TOBECO KFL+s are aweful compared to the EHPRO model. Since I'm rambling anyway, come on EHPRO, make one of these and I'll buy a bunch!

I haven't tried the fill hole on my Ivogo, used to top filling for the most part anyhow, and the reported failures of even the real Kayfun to reliably fill from it make me hesitant. I'll probably wait it out, and get a Tobeco mini from China once it hits FT. I haven't been thrilled with the quality of my Tobeco KF clones either, one is the poorest bit of machining I've seen, and I even have to get around to enlarging the juice channels because they are barely cut.

So far I'm completely happy with the Ivogo, I do think the clear tank is a bit low quality, the 510 is a bit sloppy, the positive side deck insulator looks a bit thin, but no issues so far, finish is only average on it. Don't think it is really worth the $30 price tag, but with the 10% off code from Angel its a OK deal.

Mine came this morning. Looks pretty well made and was very clean. Nice packaging too. Has logo. Washed it up and put a 10 wrap 30g on 1/16" micro in there with cotton @ 1.9 ohms. Fill hole works fine. Running it @ 9 watts with no airhole screw (wide open) and no dry hits so far. Definitely a warmer vape than the taifun gs. The included drip tip is wack imo, hole at the tip is way too small. Will report back in a week or so after I get a good feel for it.

Some Minis, Size Comparison

Nice pictures. I recognize the Taifun, but what are the others and how do they comapre to the Kayfun mini clone?

Frank

From Left to Right...

Youde AGT, Vision Eternity, Mini DID, Kayfun Mini, Euforia (GG Penelope Clone), Taifun GS.

Only two of the bunch which really work well, are the KF Mini, and the Taifun GS, the others are very build dependent, and take some effort to get them working OK. The Taifun GS works really well, but can be a bit annoying to get them to feed just right, when it works properly I would give it the edge over the KF Mini. Penelope clone, is OK, but I just don't care much for the Oddy type vapes. Overall I'll give the Kayfun Mini the win, simple to build, no fuss to get it to feed thick, or thin juice, great flavor. Taifun is a close second, a bit bulkier then the Mini, and can be annoying to get it to feed various viscosity juice.

Kayfun Mini, is simple, roll a Microcoil @ your wanted resistance, stuff a bit of cotton in it, done until your next cleaning, clean it out, a bit more cotton, and done again. The GS likes to dump tanks of juice when I do get it feeding properly, so it pretty much sits on my atty stand. When it feeds right, it does very well though. Taking that into consideration, and the lack of me having a steel tank for it, hands down the KFM...

I just got my tobeco kayfun mini, I can get the all steel sections to wick good, but for some reason, the clear tank when put over the chimney just won't wick right.....has anyone else had this problem? The juice doesn't seem to get the wick hole right with the clear tank
Maybe it's just me, steel tank wicks fine.
