Anyone know of a source where I can see a complete history of svoemesto kayfun tanks with release dates/years? At least up to 2019?

I tried to use their site with Archive.org but doesn't work so well. Kinda shocked no one has a proper blog post that documents the Kayfun line history. I thought it would be easy to find something like this.

There are several more threads that have Kayfun info.

@Bronze might have/know more.

Facebook......... the folks in the SvoëMesto Fans group and SvoeMesto-UK Users Group would very likely have much more information.

I have several threads dedicated to several versions. Those threads have been dormant for some time now. I’m sure there’s lots of Kayfun history buried in those threads. At my age I have to be very selective at what I store in my memory banks. Kayfun history didn’t make the cut. :)

Thanks, I don't do FB, but that ECF post you linked to alone helped clear up one piece of info I've been trying to figure out about the Kayfun. Just about everyone says that the Kayfun was initially a German design, stolen by a Russian partner who then redesigned it somewhat to make the Russian 91%. But as I suspected, the Kayfun was born in Russia and perfected with the help of a German partner, who also likely provided the funding to produce and market it.

Is that interesting? Prolly not to most people but it is to me.

Yup, been finding those threads and they're helping me build a timeline. Thanks.

===================================

One thing I have been trying to figure out is, who made the first rebuildable with the easy Kayfun 5/Kanger subtank Mini RBA coil mounting sytem?

I think I have uncovered that to a large degree, but not 100%. I believe the Kayfun 5 was the 1st Kayfun to have that mounting system. But it appears the Kayfun 5 was released about 1 year after the Subtank Mini with the RBA section. So it could be that Kanger was the first to implement it, which kinda cool to find out.

That mounting system has since been used in a large variety of different rebuilables since and is one of the best IMHO, in terms of ease of mounting with a secure fit. It's actually what got me to take another journey into rebuildables because I never liked faffing around with trying to catch coil legs uner the head of a screw. I'm better at it now, which is why I use a Lemo 2 and love it, but I'd ue it more if it had that Subtank Mini/Kayfun 5 mounting system, no question. I call it China's RDL Kayfun lol.

A lot of solid people have left the forum since then.

It would be cool to have a simple overview of when and which models SvoeMesto had.

Of course also applies to other brands, but SvoeMesto is perhaps the brand that has had the most significance.

Kayfun - got to love em.

I started with a couple 3 or 4's (you know the ones with the ZILLION screw together parts?).
    - very easy to build on
    - top fill
    - juice flow control
    - air flow control

For me they were 'ok' but were lacking in both juice capacity and air flow.

Then I found a few seller's of KF5 clones. These were CHEAP and much better juice capacity and air flow. (I ended up with a BUNCH of them in use & reserves)

I have two Official KF5-25's in use almost all the time. (dang they were expensive!)

I gave up cigarettes and started vaping in 2014. To this day, all I vape on is my two Kayfun Lite Plus V2 Chinese clone atomizers.

The problem is .. It's impossible to find replacement parts for the Kayfun. Thank God I still have a couple of extra plastic tank center sections for the Kayfun (they don't last forever).

I guess I am just a 'creature of habit'.

My researching of tanks has led me to many brands of which stand out. Checking the boxes are (in caps) design, quality, rebuildable, parts availability, high ml capacity, fuel consumption (low) and durability.

My hold backs, I'm not a Cloud Chucker. For as "Artistic In Design" as they may be, my vaping style keeps me from trying most.

I can EASILY see the lure in collecting the latest greatest.

Kayfuns are largely MTL RTAs (pre-version 5), with some newer versions allowing for looser MTL and RDL.

You can't go wrong with buying authentic Kayfun's. I own several, along with most spare parts for each. Besides the Dvarw, which I previously mentioned, Kayfun's are another vapocalypse proof RTA.

They're easy to build/wick/maintain and they offer excellent flavor.

FWIW........... it's very well known that the vast majority of RTA manufacturers initially copied Kayfun's RTA designs.

If you haven't already, take a look at the Kayfun Lite [plus] and Kayfun Prime. Both are excellent MTL RTA's.

The KFL airflow goes from a very tight MTL to a max of 1.2mm via the adjustable Aerokon AF design. It's a bottom fill RTA.

    The Prime has six stepped AF options (1mm, 1.2mm 1.4mm, 1.6mm, 1.8mm, 2.0mm). Top-fill RTA with JFC.

I have a couple of each. My Kayfun lites are from 2019, those have a max AF of 1.8mm. SvoëMesto discontinued the KFL19 and replaced them with the newer KFL's with the Aerokon AF system. I bought an Aeorkon upgrade for one of my KFL19's, wide open at 1.2mm it's a really nice/smooth MTL.

As soon as you mentioned they were bottom fill, that killed my interest. I despised the old Nautilus tanks, after having MANY over the years.

    Gah....flashbacks!!

    No thank you.

Hopefully there are updated top fills?

There are optional top-fill tank sections available for the Kayfun Lite. Those work very well.

As I mentioned in my previous post, the Kayfun Prime is a top-fill RTA.

Haha, you see what the words "bottom fill" does to me, I lost my attention span in a SNAP.

I will definitely look into the Prime model.

    Thanks.

    Edit- Them prices o_O
