I understand. I swear this tank was like a dream. Now it is turning into a nightmare. On day 2 it started it's leaking thing. Now all this crap. I already contacted Kanger and myvaporstore.com about the leaking issue.
$60 for a $30-40 tank with only green o-rings is kinda rip-off-ish. And also Kanger will produce replacement o-rings in dofferent colours also to purchase and change on your own [emoji14]It seems that kanger started using the revisons vaporfi contracted them out for in their tank thats basically a subtank with lime green orings their branding and the rba updated. i might pick one of those up justbfor the green![]()
This is interesting.... I have had my subtank mini for a little over a month now and must have easily blown thru 250-500ml of juice at this point as I vape like a nut...
I have used the rba section with the clear insulator as well for some time and have built some vertical coils doing high wattage of around 50 watts with no issues to report.
I have had no leaking or anything... The unit comes with extra o rings and Pyrex glass... Did you try replacing those as well?
I'm surprised the insulator melted, the clear ones are most definantly a peek insulator.
Wow, I'm shocked Kanger is doing this since the problem is from your choice of juice which you admit is a "tank cracker", not the heat generated. Had you asked them to give you a new EVOD or EVOD 2 plastic clearomizer because your choice of juice cracked it, I doubt they would be sending you a new one. Interesting.
Except with plastic clearomizers, there comes a warning not to vape known 'tank cracker" liquids in them. A primary reason for using glass in clearomizers has always been avoiding the problem that plastic had with cracking. Triacetin is used as a flavor carrier in many flavors (citrus, banana, anise) and that's what kills plastic tanks. It is GRAS, similar to PG/VG and is everywhere, not just flavorings. It's unrelated to the diacetyl group.
However, the word I got from a vendor who contacted Kanger was that only the original 25mm subtanks had this problem and that mini's / nano's were always made with PEEK insulators. The change in color of them was due to manufacturing reasons and not due to function. It made sense to me that Kanger would make insulators from the same material for all 3 sizes so I ordered the mini.
Have I been kangerized? I haven't tried it yet, but I pray to the vape gods that I haven't been.

Clear insulators here, haven't burned them out or melted them with 0.5-0.4ohm coils, must be your build having a hotspot or a hot leg, but after +/- 10 tankfuls of salty liqourice/citrus liquid (jugo diablo, test it out, it's awesome!) and nothing has happened to my insulators.Crap, I just bought my KT Subtank mini, and the second time I used the Tank it tasted like Metal. I thought maybe I burned the coil out or it was the juice...
I bought it from a local BM store and it has the clear insulators. . Now I'm going to be Stuck Vaping My Nautilus mini, ugh
