Hi all,

I've had my Kanger subox Mini Starter kit a week or so now. I have a few questions:

With a 0.5 OCC coil what is the max I can vape? It mentions 60W on the leaflet (obviously my battery will only do 50W) but I've burnt my new coil today whilst vaping at 50W. It's the exact same brand of coil, just a new one which I changed 1 day ago. I was using it fine all day about 20W, then whacked it up to 50W and thought I'd burnt my lungs off.

With a 1.2 OCC coil, what is the max I can safely vape?

Thank you all, really is a good product. Just need to get used to it as this is my first 'serious' kit.

Generally with the subtank occ coils i dont go above 30 watts. Some of the people i know report best flavor and quality vapor comes from between 23-25 watts. The reason they say such a high max is so they can compete with other tanks like the delta 2 which is made for higher wattages

Hi Ken,

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it. It does say 30W on the coil to be fair. What do I need to change to allow to vape at 50W? I know it's probably silly, but y'know.. once in a while!

Cheers

50 watts is a lot of power for that little Kanger coil. I use to run the .5 and anything over 30 watts would be too hot (this on a mech). The small juice holes can't keep up the wicking that the coil needs. Plus, the factory really packs that wick tight. I've had better luck rewicking the OCC's with fairly loose cotton. It did better. I've also drilled out the holes to allow for juice to wick faster.

I've since moved on to the Kanger Nickel Coils and no more dry hits.......
