So on my Subtank Nano, I've tried some OCC's and now the new Clapton, and everything's reading about 0.7 ohms. Could something be wrong with my base? And overwhelming trait about my Nano is each coil I've ever vaped it in spits like crazy (especially the Clapton!) and there seems to be less vapor/flavor than I expect, plus my batteries seem to last much less longer. Could there be some type of oddity going on?

Mine always read 0.6, rarely the 0.5 they were designed as. I gave the Subtank to my Dad, and the one that's in it now is reading 0.7 and works fine. Not an issue with the new vertical coils, but the older style would get terrible burnt hits if they would jump to 0.7 at 25-30w. The new ones are good up to around 50, so that's probably why.

As another question, does anyone's Subtank spit like crazy? Mine has always given me a moist mouth no matter what coil I've ever put in it - even 80/20 juice. It's not a hot spit, but when it crackles it sends some mist up with it and I can feel it hitting the tongue - over time, the right side of my tongue is more numb than the left, and all that nicotine juice can't be healthy to just ingest like that (it's no small amount...)

My subtank spits a lot, sometimes.... but not all the time. Rarely with a new coil that's actually good. As has been confirmed, the higher resistance reading is normal.

How many coils have you used over time? Have they mostly come from the same couple of packs? Are you poking any holes in them to help them wick? I got worse spitting and less flavor with the vert coils than the old ones. I still hunt down the horizontals whenever possible. I also use the RBA deck in the mini a lot these days... but yeah, not too much spitting from stock until the very end.

I've been using this thing a full year now so no telling how many coils. I've used the original, vertical, and now clapton, which is probably the worst at it. It's always been pretty bad :/ - I've ordered from VaporBeast, MFS, local, and now MVS.

I've always used high VG (70/30 spits back so extremely though that I can't use it). 80/20's a little better, but much thicker than that and the wicking/flavor isn't really there either.

I've stuck with the Kanger mainly for cheap coils, but Aspire coils used to always be about as bad. Really thinking about upgrading to an Artic, TVF4 (Mini!), or anything else that truly does not spit at all, I'm so tired of a moist vape!
