Just got another LOW BATTERY message, voltage of 18650 is actually 4.0v. I tried playing with a suggestion I saw someplace of tightening the tiny screw you see next to the battery door hinge on the bottom of the device that's inline with the USB port on side. A T5 TORX driver worked best. I was able to tighten it just a bit, and low battery warning went away. Now go counter clockwise on same screw and device SHUTS OFF. So this screw also has an effect, not sure if it's a ground point, or what's its purpose is, but as I mentioned in my last post above, I had issues with this device just powering off on its own along with the other issues mentioned.

Working better so far, but probably too early to tell if this is actually a "fix" or not for either my odd intermittent shut offs as well as low battery warnings.

If you have the proper TORX T5 driver, give it a try, making the screw as tight as possible, and report back on your findings. I'm on firmware 6.06, which was from March 2017, since they have NOT updated it since then, it's either an isolated problem, not reported enough to joyetech, or it's NOT fixable through firmware and will just be ignored or fixed in new hardware runs and thus hidden from early buyers like me, or ignored with newer models later on!
Thanks a lot!!!

Finally, I found the right TORX screwdriver.
I could screw it about a 1/2 turn down.
And yes, it looks like it helped.
It's great, but still, when the Primo gives up, I can still vape on a Pico for some time. The Pico still shows about 1/8 power left, but not for a long time, vaping at 35W/0.25ohm

I wonder, if the screw will get loose again after some battery replacements ???

(I used a Samsung INR18650 30Q, 3000mAh, 15Amp, pink)

That has to be my favorite feature on the Primo. As a comparison, the pic below is the Primo screen next to the Evic Mini (which I used to think was a large screen). No more squinting!!

Both have Arctic Fox "Classic" screen layout loaded.

How might in get this artic Fox layout and is it easier to work as mine doesn’t work as per instructions ?

Another issue I discovered, and something to be aware of. This device is capable of 2 amp charging, with of course a proper USB charger as well as cable that can deliver the higher amps. However if you use the smaller, more standard 1 amp USB chargers, like an Apple iPhone type, you can overheat the charger.

At least on my Primo, my iPhone charger got very warm, then I pulled the cord and the male metal USB plug was super HOT. This led me to put a USB voltage/amperage tester inline, and found the mod was pulling 1.3 amps, 30% more the the 1 amp USB charger is rated for! Thankfully the well made Apple charger is still working for my phone, but a 2nd off brand charger is NG now. Still shows proper voltage but no current.

If you notice odd battery bar icon behavior as in it flashing on and off before reaching full charge, then feel the charger and cable connection for heat. Did not see this behavior with my other mods.

This might be a dumb question but why do they design them to charge batteries if they don't want you to use it?
That's Good question hittman... Why? But it does make sense about them getting hot and possibly damaging the circuit boards. Who knows???

    Somewhere between here and there
I never let it run over half way down. I never really timed it. When charging it tells you the percentage of each battery and approximately how long it will take to charge. I've noticed depending if I plug it into a wall socket it seems to charge faster than if I plug it into my computer at work. I'm not sure but maybe it's a smart charger built into it.

The USB on your computer most likely only puts out .5a and the plug you use is probably a lot more. Maybe 1a or more???
