Hey guys, so I'm giving up on this Ego One, just a pain for now. I rebuilt the coil and yes, the original one did have the positive lead touching the body causing it to short out. I rebuilt it with the twisted 32g. And dialed in 1.8ohms. Unfortunately, this thing still kills me. I'm going to have to find a PV that allows me to dial in voltage or wattage. Here are some pics of the rebuild.

Any recommendation on one to dial in voltage? I love my spinner and vivi nova, maybe just need to work in a new tank for the spinner. [emoji31]

just try this way
5-6 wraps around a toothpick (32g)
assemble and see what ya got
should come out to about 2.0Ω - 2.2Ω

Thanks, will give that a try while waiting on the new wire.

BTW, thanks for the support Puf and USMC, really appreciate the help and guidance. [emoji106] [emoji109]

Fyi...one of my favorite builds is 4 strands of 32 gauge twisted tightly....run the drill until one side breaks off (usually the drill chuck side breaks off first)...its the easiest way to make a flavor coil

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping.

USMC, let me master 1 stand first, 4 sounds a little intimidating right now. [emoji2]

Anyone try 316L on the ego one ct? im not sure if ti mode would cut it, 470° seems a little high. Going to try on a subtank nano, if ti mode is too hot wattage mode should work fine.
SS works fine in ti mode. I rebuild an occ at about .8ohms and it stays in ti mode. Did a 1.2ohm and it was kicked out of ti and into wattage. No burnt hits yet but time will tell.

Once you twist them together, it becomes one ;)

USMC and Puff, it's been a while, thanks again for all your help and advice on the Ego One. Unfortunately, after many failed attempts at rebuilding, I finally gave up and now use it as a hammer. Lol.
I've got to say a tank makes the world of difference. I ended buying a Nautilus tank with the BVC coil@ 1.8 ohms, coupled to an Innokin Cool Fire IV. With the adjustable airflow, it's great. The Innokin is also VV/VW.

Question, not sure if you guys understand how ohms law work on these PVs. The Innokin is a 40 PV, but the atomizer is rated at 4.2 to 5v, how do these atomizers not burn out if I'm cranking the Watt up to 30-35W. Is it more of a function of current vs voltage in VW mode? No biggie, was just wondering. Thanks again for ask of the help.

those coils are rated for up to 15 watts.......

Ohms Law Calculator

if you know 2 of the 3 items, (resistance, voltage, power/wattage) it is easy using the calculator above to figure out the other number. So, putting in the max of 5 volts, and the coil resistance (I guessed they were the 1.6 ohm coils?) I recieved just over 15 watts as power, that will be your base line for max wattage.....at 30 they will end up burning out.

Thank you, couldn't find any wattage info on the coil, now I know my threshold.
