Hey, been vaping for years and have never had a product that spit more than the cuboid mini kit. Love the design and everything else so this has been bugging the hell out of me. I had purchased this for cheap but wanted this little mod to work for me cause the size is perfect. I found a solution that has worked for me.
I think the problem is that the screen they put on the coils is not helpful at all. It's just too close to the coil do do anything about the spitback. In fact, it may be making the problem worse. Using the notch coils but found that with both the regular 0.5 ohm and the 0.25 ohm notch coils...these do flood. Typically when adding more liquid to the tank. Not much can be done to fix that as far as I can tell...just clean up a little bit after you fill it with a paper towel down the chimney and get rid of the extra juice.
I was looking for anti-spit back drip tips which was a huge chore and there aren't a whole lot of options in the large bore variety.
So what I did was to take the screen off of the top of the atomizer and it's a pretty perfect fit down the hole where the mouthpiece goes. I just used a small pen and pushed it down into place as shown in the picture below. That leaves me free to unscrew the chimney piece and get a paper towel down in there to sop of the juice when it floods. Now the screen seems to fill it's purpose and when I change out the atomizers, I simply remove the screen. Easy fix and works really well. The airflow seemed to change just a tiny bit but most people probably wouldn't notice the very slightly tighter draw.
Hope this helps save someone else some research time. With all of the legit complaints about the spitback, I have no idea how Joyetech let this go to market the way it was. Especially when the solution is really easy. They should have at least sold these with the drip tips that have the anti spitback or splash guard screens.
Now my tongue has time to heal haha!
