I just saw an unboxing video of a brand new joyetech Cuboid Mini Kit. Looks just like a Cuboid just smaller. The kit does come with an interesting tank made for the mod, kind of a Cubis style tank but rectangular. Joyetech is just knocking out new mods right and left.

This video isn't a review, just a first impression/unboxing........ enjoy

It's probably a good idea for Joyetech to come out with a built in battery mod for people who prefer not to mess with loose batteries. It just isn't for me. I like everything about this kit, but I only use replaceable battery mods. Kudos to Joyetech for designing that set screw to keep the tank flush with the mod. Pretty brilliant. If they come out with an 18650 version of this it'll be on.

I'd love a VTC Mini version of this tank.

how is it better than a single 18650? you can swap out 18650's with ease.

I don't like 18650's, too prone to damage imo. Plus I don't want to swap out bats and carry extras when I can just plug it in everywhere just like I do with my cellphone when I need to top up.

To me it is an outdated battery and I will not use them if I can help it.

The 18650 is a size efficient and cheap battery and is definitely not outdated. It has grown and is expected to keep growing in capacity every year. Even if you don't care about swapping out batteries daily, it's still a huge advantage to be able to swap out the battery when it inevitably loses capacity over time.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^--- This!

Lets face it, mods with embedded batteries have no use/need for an external battery charger (just a USB port) and no rattling battery door to worry about.

The problem with them is that LiIon batteries have a limited number of charge/discharge cycles before the battery degrades to being something fairly to completely useless. I suppose that some mod's could still be used with the charge cord attached however I'd rather gamble/bet that a mod will be still functional long after the battery gives up and purchase/use mods with replaceable batteries.

I like how they fitted a rectangle tank to the top. ;)

I've swapped out non-replaceable batteries before when capacity started to drop, it's not a big deal if you know what you're doing. Unless the device is glued together perhaps.

But I can understand the preference for replaceable batteries like a 18650, it's just not my preference.

But lets stay on topic here, anyone here speaks Russian perhaps?

This might be an interesting review for ya then:

A vtc mini version of the tank would probably sell if it was practical to do.

I've come to the view that if someone is not willing to learn how to apply watt's law to figuring out what battery to use they should stick with built in batteries. Having boards that allow 75 watts on one 18650 then allowing users to choose the battery involves some risk to a brand.
