Made in Japan does this mean a better quality than the normal Efest?
The new Efest high drain (10A discharge) button top hybrid IMR 2250mAh 3.7V Rechargeable Battery. Cell made in Japan. With a length of 66.3mm, this is an excellent High Power battery for any 18650 APV. Perfect fit for the eVic, Smoke products, AWON and other mods that require a nipple or flat top battery. Safe chemistry LiMN means no risk of venting with flame or explosion. Ideal for use in multiple cell applications. For use with high current this battery can deliver more capacity at a higher voltage than 3100 mAh cells. Please note that due to their inherent safety, IMR cells don't have a protection circuit built in. They should never be discharged below 2.5 volts or cycle life/performance will be reduced. Maximum recommended charge voltage is 4.17V - 4.20V volts. Please check your cells with a volt meter during initial charging to be sure that your charger cuts off below this level, or cycle life will be reduced.

    Specifications:

    Nominal voltage 3.7V
    High current rated
    Lowest permitted discharge voltage - 2.5 V
    Cycle life - 500 cycles
Max charging rate - 2.15 Amps
    Max discharge (10A)
Do not short circuit - High current will be discharged
    Diameter: 18.0 +/- 0.5mm
    Height: 66 +/- 0.5mm

I'll reserve judgement of these until I can see some bench testing and practical use experience. In the past, Efest has exagerated their mAh ratings to induce higher sales, then independent bench testing shows that the battery specs weren't as advertised. My :2c:

I will say that I'm impressed that Efest seems to be making a statement of trying to become a leading battery manufacturer by introducing a series of top of the line batteries.
