I watched a PBusardo vid on wick testing and the winners were Japanese cotton and Rayon for wicking and flavor. So I want some Japanese cotton but am mildly concerned about it being MUCH more radioactive than American organic cotton. Tens of thousands of people still can't go home in Japan after the Fukushima nuclear power plant got wasted by the sunami in 2011. People are still afraid of radioactive contamination over there. I don't want to be vaping off some cesium 134-137 tainted wick. Maybe the Rayon is a better option. Or maybe "Japanese organic" cotton varieties are grown in other countries. I don't know.

I've been switching between organic cotton and rayon. Main difference I've found is when you pull out the used organic cotton wicks, they often have what appears to be burnt marks where the coil was. Rayon doesn't have that. I'm not sure that I find much of a difference in taste or wicking in my rda's or kayfun. I've got a small sample of cotton bacon that I've yet to try. I haven't used any Japanese cotton yet.

Okay. This is ridiculous. I live in Japan. This made me laugh. First... the area affected is also not being harvested for cotton. Anyways... I have a buddy who lives in the prefecture where the meltdown was. It's not even that bad. Only a small area around the plants were evacuated. Happy they were. It shows that Japan is concerned about safety. Trust me they are not importing cotton harvested there. People can't even go there. Plus I'm sure It's the way they deal with the cotton that allows the flavor. Trust me... no one is glowing here. Radiation levels around the prefecture are still well below the safe levels... let alone the rest of Japan. And radiation would not adhere to cotton. It adheres to metal. Radiation doesn't vape. Lol

Spencer, I'm sure you are more aware of what's going on over there than I am and what your government is telling you. I do know there are continuing concerns over here about fish harvested in the Pacific that are 134 times higher in cesium that pre-sunami dates. The radiation has hit the west coast of the US and affected citrus and almond crops in California. When you ask me to trust you I have to consider what you said about radiation only adhering to metal. Anyway, I have enough to worry about right here at home and I'm not losing sleep over Japanese cotton but thought it might be a ligit concern.

Gotta do it try the KGD and you will shelf the rest guaranteed! Well that's what happened to me.....shelved organic cotton balls and my trunk full of Rayon..... Although I might try a hybrid rayon and KGD because when I used the rayon I don't get dry hits.... But the rayon doesn't give near the flavor notes I'm getting with KGD...... Vaping; Ripe vapes *Pear Almond..... Switched right from rayon to KGD today the difference was so noticeable it was as though I was experiencing the vapers fatigue KGD brought me right back to my first taste of pear almond.... But bonus I'm getting more almond now!

Sorry, Yea What I meant is that metal can give off constant streams of radiation. Enough to poison you. Anyways, That's science I don't really understand and am not going to get in to it. It was not.important to the main point. Anyways... first....It's spelled Tsunami. The T is silent. Anyways... the Japanese government is not saying much, And the media is latching on to this as some evil plot. It's a two sided coin. Anyways. Point being you don't really have anything to worry about. But do whatever makes you feel better. All the cotton I use is Japanese cotton....I buy it at drug stores.

 Please stop talking.

Radiation particles stick to anything. Shoes. Your clothes. Dust particles. Soil.... Anything. Shortly after Chernobyl, power plant workers in Sweden were setting off walk through radiation alarms BEFORE they even went into work (first sign outside Russia something was wrong.) Sensors said it was on their feet. They thought a nuke was set off somewhere near, until they found out. People who left Pripyat contaminated every place they went, shortly after they were bussed out. The cancer rates over there are still stupendously high, especially in children in the surrounding areas.

One SINGLE inhaled cesium particle will kill you. This isn't at ALL a stupid topic, like I said especially with the professional liars doing their job well. This particle could be, if even potentially, inhaled while you vape. Even if you don't inhale it, you don't want to be in the same county as a rad particle, much less in your own home.

I'm concerned about this too, because like everything else, the GOV/state run media lies about it. EPA raised the safe rad limit after Fukushima, so they could still get milk and oranges on the market. Ya that's right, look it up. So I'd be using common and scientific sense, over what any gov or news agency tells you. The freaking ceiling of that place, and most the rods, blew more than 600 meters into the air. Probably totally safe by you.... ya.... Seeing as how the area is a complete dump now, and wildlife in the sea there is turning up. Ya I bet everything is just ok, with that substantial unreported death toll. I don't believe even it, because they're all liars anyway.

The only way to know would be to test your cotton. With a geiger detector.

:)

Yes smart .... Additives, GMO, fillers, sodium fluoride silicate that is really a catch phrase for thousands of other chemicals. Shampoo is also their old petro chemical problem going down the drain. Test me again?

Still not a stupid topic. Because while it may be far out, it COULD be possible for a particle to end up in there. In fact, LIGHTNING VAPES is not selling any ... cotton, for this reason.

The quality of the outside air, and co2, does not concern me. As earth needs that ..... and the gig is up. I'm more concerned with the atmospheres breathable ceiling decreasing. It has gotten 2% smaller in some last few years I forget.
