I've lost that french toast loving feelin'

Ok, I have a question for the vapers on this forum. I think I know the answer but I'mma ask anyway.

I started out on a 510 when I first started vaping, I loved the 510 and my last cig was smoked the day I got it in the mail. One of my all time favorite flavors on the 510 was Juicy Vapor's French Toast. It was mild and buttery and mapley (is that a word?) and delicious. I got sick of the atty leaking all the time and switched to a Kr8 from V4L. For the past 9 months I have been vaping that strictly.

Few months back I decided to try a french toast from Ms T's as I had gotten some wonderful flavors from her in the past. It was awful!!! It tasted like burnt cinnamon and dry leaves in my Kr8. I chalked it up to the juice.

Flash forward to now, I just received my first eGo, and I actually got another bottle of French Toast from Juicy Vapor. I'm thinking 'This is gonna be yummy!'

Umm, no. Same EXACT burnt cinnamon dead leaf taste. What the eff is going on??

I don't think its the switch of atty honestly because my Smilin Menthol from v4l tastes good on the ego. Is it just my taste buds changing? So much that it tasted sweet and mapley before and horrible and burnt now? Both juices from different vendors?? Do you think this is a juice that needs to steep? I am at a loss, French toast juice is my old fave, and I would love to be able to vape it again.. but I cannot vapoe it tasting like this. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've actually noticed that juices with cinnamon flavor give me that dry leaves thing too. (In my BWB ejoker's review I said it tasted dusty, chalky or kind of like bark) I've tried a couple of other things with cinnamon and the same thing. Meanwhile, other juices are fine. Maybe cinnamon is he culprit?

I dont understand why the cinnamon in the first bottle of french toast I got didnt bother me though. I barely tasted it before. It was more maple/butter flavor. Maybe I just need to get a maple flavored eliq lol

I just received an 801 atomizer in the mail (about 10 minutes ago) I switched out my LR 510 and what a difference it makes. The vape is cooler and the burnt cinnamon flavor I was getting is gone. The hit isn't as strong, but the flavor is better for me.

I should clarify that I'm vaping on a BB from altsmoke and the new 801 atty is LR

I might hafta try that with an adapter... I just tried the french toast on one of my old 510 attys (one of the ones it actually tasted wonderful on) and its the same bad taste. So maybe its the atty, maybe its me, maybe the mixers are using a new cinnamon flavor thats nasty.. no clue lol

Never used the original french toast on the Kr8 - juice was long gone by the time I got my vaporking and I didnt order more for some reason. Never used filler - always was a direct dripper.

You might give freedomsmokeusa's french toast a try (they do have samplers, so you aren't out a lot if you don't care for it) - I get more maple w/a bit of butter than anything else.

May want to try making it yourself. The French Toast from capella's is pretty good.

That's exactly what I suspected, which is why I asked.

As far as I'm concerned using cartomizers, or cartridges with polyfill, changes the flavor the juice.
So if it tasted wonderful while direct dripping but not in your KR808D-1 I wouldn't necessarily be surprised.

But since you said you just tried it on your old 510 atomizer, I edited my post to remove the questions.
I guess that wasn't where the problem is, whatever the problem might be.
