Hey guys. Quick rundown on something I've been experiencing lately. My legs/thighs started getting itchy about a month or so ago and it's gotten progressively worse since. Went to the doc last week and he said it looks like eczema to him, but since I've had patches of these tiny raised bumps popping up elsewhere - arms, stomach, not my face or neck.

Anyways, I've been vaping for about a year and a half and have never had an issue like this, but as far as I can tell, I haven't changed anything up in terms of medications/skin care stuff etc. Is it possible that this could be vaping related? Again, there's nothing going on on my face, neck or anything along those lines.

FYI, I have a dr. appt tomorrow morning to address this. Just wanted to get all y'all's 2 cents.

Anything is possible. Though it seems weird that it would be from vaping even though you have been already vaping for a year and a half. BUT I got eczema out of the blue one year in my early 30s and I hadnt ever had it before.. I wasnt vaping yet so for me, it wasnt that.

Good luck. It is very uncomfortable to be itchy!

Yes it's possible. People can become allergic to things they have never been allergic to before. I would get tested & see if maybe any of the chemicals (pg or vg, flavoring additives, etc.) might be a problem for you now. It could of course be eczema. But one major sign of an allergy to something is a rash that progressively gets worse. If you have not noticed any problems with your neck area that might be a good sign that it's not an allergy though since the progression when there is an allergy often includes swelling in the throat.

Go see a doctor & get tested. That's really the only way to know for sure.

An allergic reaction will effect the area with the most contact the worst. With vaping, it would be your mouth, throat, and face that would be affected the most.

You have no bumps, spots, or rashes on your face or neck. If it's an allergic reaction to anything my bet would be the detergent or fabric softener that your girlfriend uses. Try washing a set of her sheets and blankets with your detergent and fabric softener from home and see if the problem goes away.

No pets. I recently moved to a new place, started dating my roommate (that's a conversation of its own!) and it seems like every since I started sleeping in her bed, this began. She's out buying new bedding right now. As far as I know, she uses a very mild "no perfumes or dyes" detergent, but she has a very old pillow and I'm wondering if this could be dust mite related?

You might want to check out the possibility of bed bugs. They have been turning up all over the country, and lots of people have been affected. I would google and look at pics of bed bug bites and see if your spots look similar.

My teenage nephew spent the night with a friend and came home with bites and that's what it turned out to be.

Bed bugs have nothing to do with hygiene or cleanliness. They are just opportunistic pests and can show up anywhere.

I've seen news reports of people being bitten in very expensive hotels.

I agree with Completely Average on this. Worth looking at....

Don't allergy tests cost a veritable fortune? Also, how would I have them test for flavorings/additives when I don't really know what they are? I use strictly Halo liquids, FYI.

I really don't know the cost as I've not had to have it done.

perhaps you could do a pseudo test at home & get some 100% pg & nic liquid & vape it for a while & then try 100% vg & nic & try that for a while & watch if your symptoms lessen.

if it's allergy related I feel like you will eventually notice a reaction in your throat as the vessels will be affected there if you continue to be exposed to something you are allergic to.

Feathers?

Usually little bumps or welts (depending on size could be fleas). Why I asked if you had pets. Usually it starts at the ankles though. Google bedbugs too. Those little critters are nasty. Usually hits the arms and legs.

Bedbugs have become more common lately too. With bedbugs it depends on your allergy to them.

Common bug bites below. My daughter had a rash one year. I researched everything. She went to 20 different docs. We got everything from she was doing it herself to what it actually is/was. Children's Hospital and a dermatologist out by us were the only 2 of the 20 that diagnosed it correctly. The medical board of the state and the two docs that 100% said she was doing it to herself got some nasty letters.
