At least I have Some sort of outside information to back up my opinion. You have, "This is my guess."
If you knew anything about Fla, you'd know that our Gov. really doesn't give a flying frosted bat poo what the Feds have to say. He Turned Down "Free" Federal Medicare money. He doesn't raise taxes, he gives tax money back. There is no way on God's green earth Gov. Scott is going to spend JACK state money to Take Away Florida vape jobs.
Oh and one of the BIGGEST FDA lawsuits that has a great chance of winning is by Halo, one of the biggest manufacturers. They're in Florida.
People making wild uninformed guesses is what is fueling this hysteria.

Maybe your crystal ball's got a crack.
At least I wish I could share your optimism.
Which I don't.
Seen to many pols promising and abjectly failing to deliver.
Administrations come and go , BT's been around for decades and been playing the game for decades,
their lobbyists don't care if they 'working' democrats or republicans or repucrate or democans.
None of them have been able to turn down the juicy sums BT's got to dole out. Heck, some states issued bonds on the MSA payments and are in troubled waters now cuz a fraction of the money actually goes into tobacco control.
Still enough crumbs left over for ANTZ prostituting themselves for a place at that particular feeding trough.
If they were really serious about pulling the plug on smokes, they'd take the MSA money to subsidize NRT as well as vapes. Any pol even suggesting that 's likely gonna end up floating face down in the Potomac or some such other 'mishap'. Peeps got done for less, we're talking billions here.

Check the graph on page 2 ... that steep curve for vapes. Has everybody making a living off smokers dying up in arms. Cuz the sample size is 10k plus...so definitely no junk science.
And the UK guys are pragmatic about it. Quitting cold turkey ? Kudos to you. Patches ? Gums? Sure. Vaping? Of course. Counseling? Come right in.
For them, vapes are another tool in the box to get folks of the tobacco sticks.
So if they were really serious about pulling the plug on smokes in the US, they'd take the MSA money to subsidize NRT as well as vapes. Which would dry up a good number of ponds. Sp any pol even hinting at that 's likely gonna end up floating face down in the Potomac or some such other 'mishap'. Peeps got done for less, we're talking billions here.
True, the FDA's gonna get some bad heat on court for their regs.
Which is no guarantee that they won't try again after the next round of musical chairs in Washington.
I'm not promoting hysteria or panic, but a certain preparedness is gonna put you in a win-win situation:
Scenario - FDA has its way. Vaping as we know it gets sunk. Bad. But bearable if you got stock of your favoured hardware and juice.
Scenario - FDA takes a beating. Good. Vape from your stock and replenish as needed or desired.
Bottle of juice in the fridge is a bottle of juice in the fridge - regardless of outcome. Won't evaporate cuz the FDA gets or doesn't get what it wants. Only way to evaporate it is to do it a ml at a time - by way of your faourite mod
And - last but not least: Taxes.
Some states have already, some are making noises about it. And a lot more are bound to pipe up once the dust has settled with the FDA. Feds are broke, lots of states too. So taxing the bejesus out of vaping is a VERY likely scenario. Overdoing it will result in a black market. With all the ill side effects.
Now you may be able to make a stash from reputable and trusted sources with litte taxation.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
Or as my beloved granny would have said: A stitch in time saves nine ...
