I've been known to lick up excess e-liquid from my fingers, hate to see it go to waste on a paper towel. However, I don't make a habit of intentionally drinking e-liquid. It's meant to be vaped, not drunk.

I went to a concert last year and broke a golden rule by neglecting to bring more than one atomizer (always bring backups!). Sure enough, I somehow managed to lose my center pin and couldn't vape for the entire show. I managed to satisfy my cravings by periodically putting a drop of eliquid on my tongue. It definitely wasn't as satisfying as vaping, but it got me through it.

I'd say the only real risks would be overdoing it honestly and getting nic overload, and some people are sensitive to swallowed vape, so if you are actually drinking/licking/sucking you might find yourself with an upset stomach.

Maybe not something to do in front of little kids, either. You know, modeling all that.

Otherwise, have at it etc.

A couple years ago on fb someone put up a pic holding a mod with an rda, with a big drip of juice going down their thumb, asking "What would you do?" the overwhelming response was two words: Lick It!
There were other answers but not many.
I've heard of people "drinking" a few drops where they can't vape to satisfy an urge for nic or just the flavor.
To my chagrin, I end up sucking down more than I would like sometimes and when I get too much it makes me a little queasy.

This is from the National Institute of Health:

"Absorption of nicotine across biological membranes depends on pH. Nicotine is a weak base with a pKa of 8.0. In its ionized state, such as in acidic environments, nicotine does not rapidly cross membranes."

Translation: when you swallow small amounts of e liquid, it has a better chance of crossing into your bloodstream through membranes as it passes through your mouth, but the pH in your stomach is much more acidic. I think that must explain why, with millions vaping e liquid, very few people have died from swallowing the juice. I think I recall reading that a kid died recently from outright drinking it, but when it's swallowed it mostly just passes through the body. This is why I don't quite get drinking nicotine tea or mixing it with beverages, except for maybe the peppery flavor, because it's not doing much when it reaches your gut.

So, swallow away! A few drops swallowed is surely not very dangerous. It would be more dangerous to hold a significant amount of high nicotine e juice in your mouth for a while than to swallow it.

If I do this, it's generally nust to taste a juice, or desperate for nic but can't lay down big clouds. I let it absord into the mouth. My stomach may be sensitive to the nic or other ingredients in eliquid. A couple drops won't hurt though.
Avoid the stomach....

Yeah, avoid guzzling it, but a few drops won't hurt to swallow down. People who chew tobacco, and especially users of spitless Swedish Snus, routinely swallow massive amounts of nicotine. It just passes through them, isn't dangerous, but a lot of nicotine in the gut wouldn't be very pleasant.

I'm not sure exactly how I came to know this, but somehow it's in my brain: back in the old days when tobacco was thought to be medicine, doctors actually administered tobacco enemas to some patients. Avoid that, too!

I've heard of that. When tobacco was first brought to Europe they tried to do all kinds of things with it. It was also used as a spice.

Hilarious! Do you think she really wrote that, though.

That website is a spoof of the official White House website of George W Bush. It's pretty wild. People used to really cook with tobacco occasionally, but not with nicotine CQ patches (as far as I know). I wonder though, if you stuffed a "Freedom Fowl" with popcorn kernels, would they truly pop when the turkey's done? I think I'll test that hypothesis this November. Haha. :)

Plugging nicotine products (or really anything) is not recommended unless it's a suppository or something. Apparently absorption is pretty efficient, with rapid onset and early onset of absorption that peaks hard and fast. It's more effective than the stomach and often avoids the issue of nausea.

I am NOT recommending this method of using ejuice, even if you could find a way to make it work (which I am having trouble picturing).

I will say, when I use snus, I'm quite sure I swallow some nicotine (probably). If I use a high enough mg snus pouch, I will usually have a 10 minute slight nausea moment, right about an hour in. I'm not sure if that's peak absorption moment for me, where like, I am edging toward nic overload, or if I've just swallowed enough nic. However, since I tend to have something of a cast iron stomach, I tend to think it's just I've hit "peak" absorption and am mildly nic sick although I could be wrong.

Either way it passes so quickly and I then usually get another 45--1 hour out of my snus, I tend not to worry about it, it's really mild and not debilitating or anything although yes, I can't imagine I'm not swallowing SOME of it, but how much exactly remains debatable.

We should be attempting, as much as possible, to reduce and eliminate intake of all toxins. As we consume toxins they tend to accumulate in our bodies, too much can kill or have a detrimental effect on our health.

We wonder what causes cancer, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis and so many diseases, and meanwhile we continue feeding our children artificial colors that are carcinogens while saying "a small dose wont hurt them". Well guess what, Candy and cereal might actually taste better without that Blue Lake 70 artificial color!

Think before you drink
