Sitting down, facing forward.
I don't have specific experience with the Blu kit, but I do have a ProSmoke kit which is quite similar. It gets hot, too, when vaping at a higher rate of inhales per minute. It's a function of the small size of the device versus the heat required to produce the vapor. I will say that I also have a Volt and it gets warm, but not nearly as hot, as the smaller ProSmoke.

I guess when we start making the transition from tobacco to liquids we have a tendency to drag on the device at a higher rate than we would on a real cigarette. It's all part of the conversion process and, probably, is enhanced by the fact that there are no chemical "enhancements" in the liquid to improve nicotine absoption in our bodies like there is in tobacco cigarettes. Just my personal opinion, of course.

Yes. Mine heat up very quickly. I prime-puff like a .... on mine so that just works the coil even more.

Is it normal for the Blu cartridges to get warm and hot? Just wondering, because my Blu cartridges get hot and it's pretty darn annoying I must say.

thankx

The Blu atomizer in the cartos are horizontal coils but wrapped around the air tube and about half way up the length of the carto. This puts the atomizer closer to the outer shell of the carto and contributes to it getting hot faster than other cartos. The Volcano cartos are made the same way I believe. Other horizontal coil cartos are not made this way, except maybe ROK ecigs. I meant to add that the Blu cartos are also smaller in diameter than most other 510 carto types and this also adds to the heat problem.

If you puff too hard and too quick, yes they will get very hot. Seems to be the same with Boge cartos whether on the Blu or on an Ego. Vaping technique is a tad bit different than smoking, I've learned.

Also, the Premium 100 cartos are the exact same diameter and length as my Boge cartos. The older style Blu's were a skosh smaller.
