Is it normal for the Blu cartridges to get warm and hot?

i take 1-2 slow and long draws in under a minute and it starts getting hot. what a flaw, as it is not a comfortable temperature to have in contact with your lips. is 1-2 slow and long draws in under a minute considered "often"?
Big difference between 1 and 2 in under a minute. Think of a carto as a toaster, a heating element is vaporizing the juice and the heat must go somewhere. If you take 2 10 second draws in a minute, the coil has been "red" for a third of the time.

You can try an aluminum drip tip in place of the rubber tip on the carto. Takes a lot of heat away from the vapor. As NGIB said though, that carto will still get pretty warm being on that long.
You may quickly find, taking hits that long, the blu batteries don't last long. You may be a perfect candidate for a larger battery device.
If you refill your cartos, a stronger nic juice may help right at first to give you a better hit.

Just about any vendor has them for a few bucks. The Blu also uses a standard 510 connection so you can get any cartos you want and fill them yourself. If you get XL cartos, your lips will be further from the coil as well. I don't recommend low resistance though as the small batteries can't handle the strain that well, something in the 2.5-3.0 ohm range.
Here's the best deal I've found for good cartos and they have drip tips as well...
