Ok I'm about to pull the trigger on my first box mod and am stuck at what one to get so I'm taking it on here to see what you guy would suggest.

First up the ipv2s.
Pros. I like how it only takes 1 battery, it can charge the battery in the device so no need for a charger or extra batterys on the go. It upgradable to 75w if I decide to do that.

Con. Idk how well that button senior works and also heard it auto fires if juice gets on it. And heard that the screws love to strip.

Now the sigelei 100w plus.

Pros. Battery door has magnets so no screws to mess with. It's already at 100w so don't think I'll ever need to go higher than that and don't think I'll ever use the full 100w that it gives... extra battery power with 2 batterys.

Cons. Need extra batterys on hand if on the go for a long time. Need to buy a charger for batterys so extra money spent. Heard something about if you slip your finger off the fire button it can auto fire till you mess with the button.

So what do you guys think I should get? They are both in the 80 dollar range ipv2s 79.99 100w plus is 86.99..

Thankful for any and all help..

I can vouch for the Sigelei. I have the 100w you speak of and I love it.

The 2 batteries are in series, so you won't be seeing the mAh gain as if they were in parallel.

However, the battery life is really decent. I keep it on 80 watts, and most of the time it lasts me all day. But on slow days, I vape more, and I go through 2 sets.

But that's at 80 watts.

I haven't had the button problem. It's not a button that my finger simply slips off of when firing. Not the way I hold it at least.

I like the adjustable center pin, and it even comes with a few extras just in case.

I have both. The iPV2 drains rapidly if you have it up in the 30 Watt plus range, the Sigel does have a lot more power. Series versus parallel only affects voltage and current not power. The size is a lot close than you'd think, around 1/4 inch difference.

For my needs, my Sigelei is strongly preferred over the iPV2. I use dippers at 30+ Watts usually. So, if your use case is similar, go with the Sigelei. Not knowing what power levels you're looking to use makes it difficult to know which one is best. Also, the iPV2 really doesn't recharge that fast, at least in comparison to my dedicated chargers. When I'm using it, I have a USB charger ready to plug in whenever I'm not actually vaping. Are your days normally spent close to an outlet where you can charge the iPV2?

Well if i probably will be doing a subtank at the recomended 20 to 30 wat to start. I also plan to get extra batteries for ether i get so the ipv2s would be cheaper at getting extra batteries. Im thinking about getting a nitecore Charger i2 with the ipv2s but think id need the i4 with the sigelei since id be getting 4 batteries and would like to charge overnight. So it seems like the ipv2s would be cheaper to run as a starter device. i probably get, etherthe atlantis or subtank with ether device And probably a magma rda. And if i do a ipv2s i might splurge and get a mec mod since id be saving a bit of money on batterys and the charger and stuff but idk yet Since im not to sure on what im buying as far as mod tank and what not.

And yea im usually near chargers and or wall outlets all the time even have a 2 amp usb in the car and millions of mini usb chargers. and the nitecore charger offer a charger for charging in the car if need be but the ipv2s i could just charge off my usb port instead of having to carry a charger and or extra battiers compared to 1 extra battery and the ipv2s.

I said screw it and pulled the trigger on the sigelei 100w plus not as many negatives with it. Dont cost alot more. The i4 charger will probably get more use than just the 18650 batteries im buying and has more versatility and like the longer battery life since it has 2 battieries instead of 1. Plus the magnets and a nice plus and it come with a free case

Yea i know about all them been looking up mods the last 2 months and didnt like the look of the 50w sigelei plus i may venture past 50w in the future. I looked atthe ipv2x but thought the ipv2s was better other than button but rather have had the 75w upgrade. The ipv miniv2 and ipv4 isnt out yet and i have waited long enough. (Trying to get off the analogs for awhile on pens they help but i wanted a good sturdy box that would last me a long time. Why i chose the sigelei 100w plus.

Hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to read up on battery safety. Sure, the Sigelei has built in protection, but everything is fallible. Buy a good charger, since charging via usb might take awhile :)

I echo everything dgm76523 just said, with one difference:: my builds on the Sigelei have me vaping at 30ish watts and at that output I get a solid two days before I need to recharge. Also, the fire button is much better than the IPV, IMO. Sigelei for the win.
