Oh that looks very nice sir!

If you torched the top cap, may I ask how you removed the black delrin insulator? Tried a hammer but I might be too fearful of hitting hard?

Thanks!

1) Leave the cap screwed into the tube

2) Take off the switch

3) Take out the positive brass screw

4) Insert the flat end of a 7/32 drill bit and put the base of the tube on a soft towel.

5) Tap with hammer gently until delrin pops out (the positive brass button does not need to be removed, it will stay in the delrin)

If you decide to do the switch, just do the very bottom piece. Take out the hex post. I found after blueing, it got rather sticky on the press.

Also, after torching, do not quench in water... Just allow it to air cool (takes a looooooong time to cool... BE CAREFUL!)

Also, after torching, you may notice some corrosion develop on the threads from the heat reaction in the metal. Be sure to clean it up nicely with a wire wheel.

Let me know if you need any more help!

Take care of and clean your Legacy. Why? Voltage under load!

Here's a test I just did. Legacy 350 tube plus kick extension tube. Battery: Effest IMR 18500 v2 1100 mah. Atomizer: IGO-L with a 1.4 ohms coil.

Dirty Legacy, received as is, purchased used via Facebook:
No load: 4.14 v
Under load: 3.68 v (average of 4 hits)
Voltage drop: 0.46 v

Cleaned and polished bass contacts
No load: 4.13 v
Under load: 3.73 v (average of 4 hits)
Voltage drop: 0.40 v

Above plus Noalox on all the tubes threads, on the top and bottom screw threads
No load: 4.12 v
Under load: 3.85 v (average of 4 hits)
Voltage drop: 0.27 v

From a 0.46 to a 0.27 voltage drop in 5 minutes of easy work. :)

good info.

two question--

1 - how do you test under load?
2 - what FB page did you find the used legacy? ive been hunting for a mini.

Thanks

1- I use the Tankometer:
The Tankometer

But before I got one, I used my multimeter, volts mode, prongs on positive and negative posts of RBA and fired the mod. Simple.

2- I bought two used Legacy

One from
https://www.facebook.com/groups/THEMODTRADER/

and the other from
https://www.facebook.com/groups/vapeauctionsunruled/

You can also try those:

Good luck in your search!
