Innokin Itaste SVD and flashing LEDs

Hello to all. I would like some information on troubleshooting an SVD with some strange issues. I would like to let everyone know that this is my fourth SVD in 3 months. I have not mistreated them in any fashion except for one of them which I replaced at my own expense. My problem is this. All of them have developed firing button issues related to sensitivity loss or non-function. I have seen multiple threads similar to this but I also get one symptom that I have not seen in any other thread. On the one that still works, when I fire it, occasionally it flashes the fire button green a number of times (not sure how many, not looking right at it when it starts) and goes dark. The mod is still on and will respond to the + and - buttons and the fire button continues to operate. I have had it with the SVDs and their unreliability. They came recommended from multiple people who continue to use theirs. 3 of mine have been real SVDs and one was an FT clone. I currently have the clone and the latest real one. The clone and the other stopped working at about the same time (within a day). The 'real' one continues to work, albeit not reliably whereas the clone is just dead. This all relates to the fire button. I just want a stick that works and I can't seem to find one. I run one with the aqua dual coil (1.1 Ohms) and the other with a kayfun Lite (1.9 Ohms). Swapping RBAs and freshly charged batts do nothing for this problem. Help me Obi-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

Personally I hate the SVD. I bought two and had both fail from button problems in less than 6 months. I won't ever buy another. I'm now using a Nemesis with a Kick2 and it is smaller, lighter, and infinitely more reliable than the SVD ever was.

I have an svd also. I hate this thing. Neg button quit working after two days....less than a week and fire button is gettin erratic. I think they are just junk from all the reading up I have done. I am gonna puff it till it totally stops then get a real mod. Finding tbe best bang for your buck seemz to be the challenge. Provari is obvious for reliability but there has to be something else that works long term too. I dont need a collection...just one that works. Anyhow. Sorry for the rant. I saw a thread here last night that shows svd disassembly. Search svd button. Good luck with yours.

Is the Kick2 a dripper? I've been hesitant of using Mechs with a tanker. I do like the adjustability of VV/VW mods, but it seems they all have questionable reliability. I appreciate the response. This is really bummin me out right now. To have any chance of gettin gthe SVD to fire, I have to mash the button hard. Over time, this will kill what sensitivity it has left. Most of the VV/VW mods out there I think are ugly anyway.

btw, I saw the video regarding the red flashing button, mine is flashing green and I did check the insulator with no problem found. I am just going to swear off the SVDs, but I'd like to find a VV/VW that I am happy with.

Also, Nice ride in the Avatar pic.

Agreed. Same here. Don't have the coin for a Provari. I liked the look of the ZMAX, but have no idea what the reliability of it is.

No, a Kick2 is a Variable Wattage module that fits inside a mech mod like the Nemesis. It allows you to set a specific wattage setting and it will regulated the wattage to maintain that setting. Once it's set it works just like any VV/VW mod as far as regulation goes. It also provides several safety features to protect your battery from harm if there is a short.

I use my Nemesis with all sorts of toppers. Everything from Trident dripping atomizers to the Kayfun to regular old clearos like the iClear 30S and Kanger Aerotank. My wife uses a 69 mod with a Kick and an iClear 30S exclusively.

And you can get a Nemesis and a good Kick module for about the same price as a low-end VV/VW mod. You won't even need to buy new batteries, if you're using the Kick just use the same batteries you used in your SVD.

*NOTE: If you're aren't going to worry about subohming then you can get the original Kick or a Kick clone rather than a Kick2 which costs twice as much. You only need to spend the extra money on a Kick2 if you're going to use coils below 1.0 ohms.

Picture time.... My Nemesis with Kick and Kanger Aerotank.

I use this every day. The only other ecig I use is my Halo Triton while driving. (6 speed manual and big mech mods don't play well together)

OK, with an 18650 battery and a kick, would that all fit within a nemesis?

That's exactly what I have in mine as well as my wife's 69 mod.

I'm using 18650 30A batteries (Orbtronic SX30) so I can subohm if I want, but my wife still uses her regular Efest 10A 18650 IMRs that she got with her SVD.

OK, so I removed the batt from my svd and it sat for a few days. After that, I put a fresh batt in and the button sensitivity had returned. I also bought a nemesis for carrying around with me and have been enjoying it a lot. I have not added a kick to it yet and may not since things have been working well. I appreciate the input from you all. I just thought you might be interested in how things turned out. The clone svd still does not work properly, by the original is back in good working order.
