I have read a bunch of the posts here regarding "the best" and since every user is different there is as many answers as here are new users... would someone be so kind as to steer me in a direction.
Me...PAD more or less (lookie I used an abbr I found here) for 30 years. Currently smoke Virginia Slims super slim menthol lights (yea skinny girly cigs) I only smoke at home (evenings) or when driving. I want to quit (tried patch, gum etc) if not totally nicotine free, then at least not smell like a cigerette andget rid of some of the bad that comes from smoking cigs and e cigs seem to be a good step...so please, suggestions on what starter would best suit my needs, money is a factor, but I understand you get what you pay for.
Thank you for any responses

Ah, Virgina Slims. I remember those well. I think of them as women lumberjack cigarettes. My sister smoked them and I found it ironic that her husband who looked more manly than she smoked Merit, which were light in contrast. But I don't know of a flavor match to be honest. Virgina Slims only look like sissy cigarettes.
The axiom "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply in this area so much. We are talking about devices that are disposable. Batteries have a limited life, about 300 charge cycles, the atomizers/cartomizers (heating coil) have a limited life. Paying extra for something like "Green Smoke", $100-170 doesn't give you anything extra over a $65 kit from Smokelessimage(Volt). In fact, the Smokeless image short batteries are above par in terms of life, 65mm I believe are rated at 220mah, where shorts in this class are typically 180mAh. (about 100mAh/h moderate use).
Going true ciggie sized is not practical. The 510 and KR808d-1 are considered mini. Supermini like Blu represent double the cost in batteries.
Erowid Tobacco Vault : Nicotine Content #6
Virgina Slims pack a bit of a punch. Slims 22mg/pack, lights 14mg/pack, Ultralight 10mg/pack.
So think medium Nicotine Level
The lowest price and best performing is not ciggie sized. Batteries have a limited life, the bigger the battery the longer you can use it, and the longer it will be useable. The best deal might be too large for you, the
Riva 510, $30 base model, you must add fluid to the order, but still.
Smokelessimage (volt) is a fantastic deal for the KR808D-1 with a charging case (PCC). I'm kind of a fan of the
Revolver . It's a close cousin to the 510, so it's thinner than the KR808D-1, but longer. It's slightly cheaper, ~$50 vs $65, but to be fair the Volt does have better batteries. It is available in manual (push button rather than sucking), which has a benefit of not being destroyed if your juice drips in the battery.
But the basic recommendation for the ciggie class are going to be either a 510, or a KR808D1. You're buying into a hobby, not a habit, and both represent the widest available options, and the lowest cost to maintain.
