hey there, when i started vaping a few weeks ago, i got the evic vt, nice mod box i must say, im only using 2mg of nic and havnt smoked since, could be the way your hitting it, passed it onto my daughter for her smoking and noticed she was puffing it like a cig, wasnt working for her. try a lung hit ( pulling into the lungs from the mod) seems to work lots better.

No that's not it, watched a ton of videos to make sure I was inhaling correctly. It is totally different than smoking tho.

I hear this nonsense all the time. (the local B&M's think I'm crazy)

I think the assumption is that you'll "chain vape" a high output setup and OD yourself on nicotine. (or have to stop vaping). This can work for you or against you depending on what your goals in vaping is.
    • if you like to 'chain vape' much like you may of chain smoked, high nicotine content may be an issue. Some of us have a 'motor reflex' (the act of smoking) so strongly programmed into ourselves that we need to satisfy the 'motor reflex instinct' as well as our nicotine needs. If the nicotine is to high we may satisfy that need but still be 'wanting' because we did not satisfy the motor reflex thingie.
    • If your looking to get as much nicotine in your body as quickly as possible (and don't have a need to "chain vape" or satisfy the motor reflex thingie) then higher nicotine levels work out better. With a high enough nicotine level a few puffs every once in a while is enough to satisfy your nicotine hunger. Here some self control is needed.
I usually have two setups at home - one has ~1/2 as much nicotine as the other one. I "chain vape" the low nicotine setup and if I start having an urge for a real smoke, I'll grab a few puffs off the higher nicotine setup. When out and about I don't know where/when I can vape so I usually bring a 18mg rig with me knowing that only a few puffs here and there are enough to satisfy my nicotine hunger.

Thanks! I prefer to take a few hits then stop, but with the low dose I was sucking on it all the time!

I'm also new to vaping and brand new to the forum but from my experience the nicotine level made really no difference to me until I got my first rda. I started little over a month ago with a cigalike with 24 and 18 mg carts. Within a week got 2 kanger evod2s and a nautilus mini. Vaped those with 18 but bumped down to 12 because all I could taste was the nicotine. As far as withdrawal I noticed no difference and maybe vaped a little more with the 12mg. I got a rda and box mod over the weekend with some 80vg 6mg juice and that is enough. I have tried dripping the 12mg juice I had. Way better flavor/vapor but man you gotta lay that thing down after a few clouds. Not uncomfortable but you def know something is happening. Reason I got the dripper in the first place was to get that bang kapow nic rush in the morning, first cig in the morning was the only one I couldn't let go. 16 year smoker started at 14, at least a pack a day by 16.
    Welcome!

    I don't have a dripper... And I was a 2 pack a day smoker...
If you are anything like me you will get one. I loved smoking. Like Denis Leary in the 90s loved smoking. Always thought vaping was for prissy little ballerina people who couldn't hang. That's until I had a family. It's all good when you live alone but when it's your wife, son, and are pets dying along side you that's a whole different story.

actually its a ploy done by vape shops to get you to get the really low nic stuff so you end up buying 3 times more juice than usual ... do you know how much profit is made on juice?? its astounding... most vape shops sell hardware as a secondary means.. the juice sales is what keeps the shops open...

+1 to this I live in Phoenix metro area in AZ. There are almost as many vape shops as gas stations or liquor stores and every shop sells it's own brand of juice. Equipment on the other hand is marked up at least %200. I know damn well they aren't making their bread and butter off of the couple of starter kits they sell to suckers each month.

Yup that's me. My parents don't know I smoke and I'm tired of the low, tired of trying to cover it up, tired of thinking about my kids not having a mom.... That's why I want to be successful at this!

I don't know if I can use a drippee with the evic vt? Don't even really know what a dripper does!

A dripper is a type of rba. Its just a buildable deck with a cover with built in airflow. In it's simplest terms something like the Igo-L.

Looking at the specs for the vt it should be able to support sub ohm tanks like the kanger subtank or the aspire atlantis. Seems like if the Ego clearomizer isn't doing it either one of those would be better. I don't own one but the new Kanger subtank mini looks pretty badass. I was gonna buy one but buying manufactured coils seems like an unnecessary expense when I could just get a Lemo 2.

This shop is the only one in my area, as I live out in the sticks lol. It's a 20 min drive to just get to that one! Ok I just put 18mg in and I'm feeling better already! Was a 2 pack a day smoker... Any suggestions for good vaping places online? I ordered from dr crimmy, but got the wrong strength, so I need to place another order our find another site that is reasonable.

Another question, how long do the coils last before needing replacement? The store said 2 weeks but now I don't trust anything they told me.....

Thank you all for such a warm welcome and helping me!

Do you mix your own juice and need a supplier or do you purchase pre mixed juice, regarding where to look into purchasing supplies? There are quite a few online. I'm assuming you purchase premixed juice and choose your nicotine amount? I've been to and ordered from several sites online, here are a couple of links/addresses MyFreedomSmokes (http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com ) and also RTSvapes (http://www.rtsvapes.com ), MFS usually delivers within two days! Great Products! What I can't find at one usually the other has etc! Hmmm, I edited this because I see the links were apparently not allowed, just the same the information and suggestions remain! I hope this is somewhat helpful.

Hi! And welcome! Since you are happy with your set up now, I can recommend some juice. I am the budget vendor queen...lol. For good priced, good in-your-face flavored juice, check out Vape Wild. Do the sample pack, and see how you like them. Also, Slim's E-juice, Black Axis, and Mitten Vapors are some of my favorites.

Thank you everyone, I think they shop was trying to just get me to buy more juice (which in my opinion doesn't have much flavor). That makes me feel better bc I have been vaping like crazy and still wanting/using cigs..... I'll just put some 18mg I have in my tank and see how it goes..... I'm at 500F, 50W, 0.41 in Ti mode as I have a titanium coil in. still trying to figure out the best settings. I think this store's juice must be crappy bc everything I've tried has been very mild tasting.... I want a kick in the mouth of flavor!

If you want flavor, I'd recommend FivePawns. They are kind of pricey but god does this stuff taste good (ALL the flavors I've tried). It's kick in the mouth quality.. Pick up the insignia sampler, you won't be disappointed. And the Bowden's Mate has a strong menthol to it, if that's your type.
