Im on day 13 smoke free and I am really enjoying the coffee flavors, but that is because I can not find the right tasting tobacco flavor. Everything ive tried is to much like a cigar, way to sweet or way too spicey.

Try Long Bottom Leaf and Shire Malt from epipemods... I always have at least half a 50ml bottle of long bottom leaf on hand.

I remember thinking like this when I first started vaping. It took me about 2 weeks to realize that it was impossible. Now, the last thing I want is for my vape to taste like a disgusting marlb red.

How long did it take you guys for your taste to change and enjoy vaping for what it is an not solely as an alternative to smoking. When did you became a vaper instead of a smoker?

Burning paper?

I've come full circle over the past two months or so. I began like most with a tobacco flavored liquid, which was okay, but quickly moved to fruits and sweeter type vapes. Recently the tobaccos have found their way back into my rotation however, and have become my preferred flavor of the moment. That's one of the major pluses in vaping... being able to use a variety of flavors and keep things interesting.

I can relate to that. I wanted a strong mentholated tobacco at first, then decided i like fruits better. now i can appreciate tobaccos for their own virtues rather than simply as a misguided attempt to emulate the traditional cigarette experience.

When I got my Sigelei Zmax V2 (about 2 years after I started vaping), and my ProVari Mini (this past January)! I say this because the 510's that I used when I started, and the Ego T's (after that), never "really" did the trick! Vaping since Nov 15, 2010 (the last day I had an analog).

About the same time I realized that if I wanted something that worked I was going to have to get over the form factor thing and go with something bigger.

A day or two.

Im glad I made the switch on both of them as it opened up a whole new world of possibilities and finally got me off a 25 year 2 pack a day habit.

im not sure who makes the eliquid in the carto that comes with the SD keyring, but its a dead ringer for a red. pretty early on in my vaping, anf i had an analog along side the SD, and honestly, its was about as close to the real thing as i have tasted. i wouldnt mind geting a small bottle of whatever that juice was, just in case i ever wanted to taste a red again, but i havent been able to find out who makes it.

That's one of the things smokers are always telling me: that thing is massive. Yet it took me less than a day to get use to the form factor. I really don't miss that light tube of paper at all. In fact, the heavier the device, the better it feel imo. Love the provari's form factor and weight.

Eh.. My favorite tobacco was captain black gold. I looked everywhere for the e-liquid and finally found it and the stuff to DIY.
Guess what? Turns that captain black flavoring is a liquid they put on tobacco to make it taste better. And THAT was the only flavor in tobacco that I liked!
Still do. But I vape mostly fruit and candy flavors, so I'm no longer an ex-smoker, I'm a vaper.

Wow, you've hit it exactly. I've come to view tobacco as more of a spice than a burning flavor and I like the taste of that spice. The additives are what really livened it up. My favorite is a Mild 7 flavoring from the Asian cigarette that comes through very clearly in one of the first cigalikes my wife got for me in order to quit burning (EonSmoke). Your post actually made me pull the old thing out and vape on it for a bit mmmmmmm. Lemme see here, roll the cellophane tape around it so only one air hole exposed, suck on it like a milkshake through a coffee stirrer, yep, that favored flavor is still there. Good times lol.

If I could only find that flavor in a high VG juice, I'd be in heaven.

i was active USAF here at misawa from '91-97, then after i got out, i decided to come back in '00. i still work on the base though. i was here for the big one in Kobe as well as the one in '11. we had our work truck up on the lift taking bets on when it would fall. when the power went out, we had to resort to some hillbilly engineering to get it down.stuck it in 4wd, jacked the back up, and inched it back until we cleared the rails. we lowered it down, then did the same to the front. the japanese workers at the gas station looked as us like we were crazy...haha

Maybe I was lucky. I smoked Newports and read a bunch of reviews and saw an e-liquid recommended a lot and ordered it. Newport-ish but better. I vaped it for a year. I moved on to other flavors but still vape it from time to time.

Some can quickly pick up a different flavor and be happy. Others are looking for that familiar taste. You'll never find one exactly but you might find a juice with similar notes.

I started with a tobacco flavor and a french vanilla. The vanilla was gone in a few days, that nearly full bottle of tobacco juice is around here somewhere, not even half a mL gone. Probably will give it to a friend. I think for most people it only takes one flavor they love to realize they don't really smoke for how burning tobacco tastes, and most of us would have chosen our cigarettes to taste like something else if we'd had the choice.

for the first month or so i wanted vaping to taste just like smoking. impossible to achieve.. but got some decent tobacco flavors that i liked even though they tasted nothing like a cigarette. it was only after i tried smoking again after vaping for a while that i realized that cigarettes taste DISGUSTING and i would never want vaping to taste like that. i much prefer the taste of tobacco juices than actual cigarettes now :p
